My wife, daughter and I are fortunate enough to call Steamboat Springs Colorado home. We love living in a small mountain town where you can recognize your neighbors by seeing their mountain bike on a local trail or their ski tips behind you in the lift line. There is something magical about living in a small town that is isolated from a lot of the stress that comes from living in a big city (not saying I don't appreciate a trip San Fran, Denver or Seattle).
Personally, I love big powder days and skiing the back-country where you don't see a soul. The change of seasons here are great, it allows you to look forward to seeing the first snow of the year in the fall, the mountain bike trails drying out in the Spring and the flowers blooming on top of the continental divide in July. I always try to get a raft trip in on a major river somewhere out West . . I cant wait until my daughter is old enough to take with me.
I grew up in Ohio but moved out West to Colorado over 20 years ago after graduating college. Nothing against Ohio, but the West is the best! The mountains, the rivers, the desert and everything in between allows for endless adventures all year round!
On a personal level I love seeing live music . . . and always make the effort to go see a major music festival each year (ACL, JazzFest, HSB, Telluride Bluegrass, etc), you name it they are all a wonderful experience.
Today, we own a few vacation rental properties in Steamboat Springs, and we manage several others for out-of-town owners (via our company Steamboat Vacation Rentals). Whether you’re a couple on a romantic getaway or a large family gathering, we have a property that is perfectly suited to your needs.
The great thing about renting from a local mom & pop shop is that you have a Steamboat local to count on (via phone or at your doorstep), someone who will ensure your vacation is as carefree as possible for you and your family. You also know that you have someone you can trust when you have questions about activities, events and local restaurants. Our goal is to help make your vacation to Steamboat one your whole family will enjoy.
