Meryl has been restoring her craftsman bungalow and it is beautiful. Her home is in the Lloyd District near Lloyd Center, walking distance to great restaurants, and easy access to the bus line to downtown Portland. Our bedroom was very roomy with lots of windows to enjoy the summer weather. The bathroom resonated with charm - claw foot bathtub, black and white floor, built in corner cabinet, etc. Meryl is very gracious. She made us a cappuccino and warm orange juice (Delicious!) in the morning, provided fruit and snacks along with a well stocked refrigerator. She knows the Portland area well and suggested some great places to eat. My husband and I felt at home and consider Meryl our friend now. We would definitely stay at Meryl's again.

Meryl is a lovely and welcoming hostess. The house is quiet, well located & beautifully and lovingly restored. If you are interested like we were, ask Meryl to tell you about it. Another pluses are that the bed is super comfy and. The room comes with a mini fridge We will definitely return the next time we visit Portland

Fantastic place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. Large front Porch for relaxing at the beginning or end of the day, Restoration of guest room done with the highest level of detail by Meryl. The details behind the restoration and search for period relevant fixtures were very interesting to hear. Definite recommendation for anyone on vacation or business travel.

Meryl and her house were just lovely!! She was very accommodating and the room she had set up for our stay was just like a hotel room! Complimentary goodies in a mini fridge, mini toiletries and perfectly folded towels in the bathroom. A large and comfortable bed in a very large room with large windows facing the quaint tree lined street, we woke up to a room filled with sunshine (there are shades as well, but we needed to rise early to hit the road)! Meryl showed us how to use the keys on the front door so we could go out for a night on the town and get back inside without having to knock. She also made us amazing cappuccinos in the morning before we left which we enjoyed on her massive covered porch. Perfect way to end our little impromptu stay in Portland. We did not have time to enjoy a breakfast from Meryl, but with her own fresh eggs from chickens in her backyard, I'm sure it would have been delicious! The dining room was even set for a table of two if we decided we would have liked to eat something before hitting the road. I would most definitely stay with Meryl again on another trip to Portland, plus her house is in a great location in NE Portland, looked as if it was in walking distance to a main street and lots of cute little restaurants and some bars as well.
