À propos de ce logement

Our 4-Clover Ranch "Cabinette" is a cozy, private cabin on our ranch south east of the town of Rocky Mountain House. The "Cabinette" is less than 100 meters from our yard. You will stay in the private, rustic "Cabinette" with its basic facilities but you are welcome to use the amenities in our main cabin for showers, washing or wifi. It is an ideal spot for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. Pets are welcome and there would be room for additional tenting if needed. Please discuss.

Le logement

We are a secluded ranch which shares the space with an abundance of wildlife. There are opportunities for walks in wooded areas and across pastures or sit and relax by an open fire sipping on a glass of wine or reading a book. This is very much a back to nature experience. The cabin is a single, brightly lit room with double bed (single bunk bed overhead), couch, table, wood heater and running cold water. The toilet is an outdoor pit toilet, however you are welcome to use the toilet and shower in the main cabin. There is a camping style gas stove & kettle to boil water. The Cabinette has minimal power, run by a solar panel, which is sufficient to charge a mobile phone / ipad and a cabin light. There is no fridge. A coolbox is provided if you wish to bring a bag of ice.

Accès des voyageurs

From the "Cabinette" guests can walk across grazing pastures and through aspen and spruce woodland. Local wildlife can often be seen on walks or from the cabinette.
Guests can access our main cabin for showers, wifi or to use the washing machine.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

We have lived on the ranch since 1992 and know the area very well. We have also travelled extensively throughout Western Canada besides many parts of the world. We have a good level of knowledge of areas worth visiting in our "backyard" of the Canadian Rockies.
You will be right next to David Thompson highway #11 and Cowboy Trail highway #22 corridors to the majestic Rockies taking you west to the midpoint between Banff and Jasper National Parks.

Autres remarques

Be aware that this is a working ranch with livestock. While the stock is grazing in open pastures we would suggest you talk to us about the livestock and where you can go. We use electric fences so don't touch the single smooth wires.

This one room cabin was the perfect size for our family of three! Our little one loved seeing the cows stroll by in the pasture. The ranch is beautiful and we saw a stunning foggy sunset in the morning. We came on a chilly September weekend but the wood stove kept the cabin very toasty warm. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Kim and Helen are very helpful and kindly. The canbenette is amazing, located at a farm, which has a great view for the trees and animals there. It was a wonderful experience. Thanks to them。

This listing was exactly as described and more. Kim and Helen made us feel welcome and trusted. They weren't home the night we were there, but allowed us to enter their home for showers. The 'cabinette' was as described and more. A newer well built cabin (tongue-in-groove natural wood planks for the ceiling) on a cattle ranch that I might describe as 'idyllic'. The word ranch, I think, carries a sense of being maybe rough at the edges. This was anything but. A gorgeous small cabin (15 ft per side?) with a bearskin rug attached to the wall, a handmade queen sized bed, adirondack chairs out front, a fire pit with stacked firewood and a picnic table. No electricity, and a simple water feed from a well only enhanced the experience. We sat outside and had KFC wings, wine, cheese and crackers for dinner! It was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. We had an early full moon that was up in the East before the sun fully set in the West. Wolves started howling just as the sun went down. This was a fantastic one night stay. Too bad that was all the time we had. Reviewers often say "I would stay here again if traveling to etc." I'd like to say that I could see arranging a trip simply to stay at this specific accommodation! It was VERY nice. The cattle wandering around freely added to the authentic feel. Thanks Kim and Helen! Wish we could travel to Reddeer again!

Awesome place to stay! Great location, all the amenedies you need for a night or two. Beautiful scenery, a very fair price. And the hosts were very friendly and nice. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a easy place to stay for a few nights in the Rocky Mountain House area.

So as I sit here at this little B&B just off the Cowboy Trail Highway 22 . I think I'm coming back here, this is a really quiet place just off the beaten path. Only a little gravel road ride on a motorcycle. Kim and Helen are wonderful hosts. The cabin is as listed there's no modern amenities you have one cold water tap. They provide a small BBQ and a small one burner to heat a kettle, both propane. Lots of dry firewood No wifi , no electricity , wood stove to heat cabin , one large bed one loft bed, outhouse. A great place to unplug from the world for a time and decompress. Thank-you Kim and Helen

Kim is of Danish descent, lived most of his life in Alberta. Helen is Australian. We have travelled extensively throughout Europe, North America and Australia.
We own property in Australia as well, where you could come visit us. We try and find summer year round. Our property Alcheringa in Victoria Australia is not unlike 4-Clover Ranch. Both places use the sun and wind to generate electricity. You will be amazed with this up and coming technology. We enjoy ranching, nature and travel. With those interests we are sure to connect with you whatever your back ground and wherever you call home. We live simply, to simply live.
