Initially I chose NOT to write a review for this guest but will give my feedback now because usually I am not feeling good to express a lot of negative and unfair issues, I experienced with this booking.
I tried to reach out to this group many times and finally received an answer one day before check in. Shortly after arrival they complained about our very friendly security dogs, then about the location even though Balangan Beach is one of the most attractive areas in Bali.
My German manager Oke tried to accomodate their needs, fixing a few minor issues but they left right after entering his privat premises without permission, taking photos, first of a little dead gecko in one of the bedrooms, then they even moved to our messy storage bungalow, to Oke's building/kitchen and even photographed the grass because it was not as green as in the pictures.
It was clear they tried to find reasons to cancel and not willing to stay. The Dogs! Oh well…It was mentioned in my description that we have pets and a large shared property (2 seperate buildings) with manager. maids come daily to clean, especially before a new guest checks in.
There was a solution forced on me by airbnb agents who believed the false photos sent in.This reservation got canceled without asking my side first, even though I sent prove that their villa with 3 bedrooms was perfectly prepared.
Our wide open property is huge and split up in different areas. One building belongs to our manager but can be accessed easily due to open living style but does not belong to the villa rented therefore privat. The guest had no respect asking if he would be allowed to enter.
There is a lot of prove for any new guest that the villa is maybe not a luxery hotel, it is our previous family home and a tradtional, simple but clean paradise, if guests understand the Bali open living style, where even geckos find their ways inside the rooms sometimes. It's ridicolous to send such photo. It takes 1 minute to pick it up and throw away.
I am very unhappy how airbnb handled those booking issues but now I move on even though my 9x in a row superhost status is damaged by this unkind and untruthful guest.
I am sure many other visitors will cover up such mean and false review, proving how wonderful it is to stay in our villa.
I do not appreciate predjudice, calling my kind and sweet manager “ a dirty hippie”. Once again…We are not a 5* Hotel but always treat our guests with full respect and kindness including welcome drinks and lots of help to get scooters, taxi’s, food delivery, daily clean up as well as help with shopping by the near by supermarket and preparing breakfast.
