À propos de ce logement
This clean, comfortable & spacious home, located in Village of Glenwood (rural) is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It has great view of the mountains, friendly neighbors, peaceful surroundings and spacious yard. It's great for couples, singles and small families and is handicap accessible. Large yard - country setting! Spray park, ice cream shop, bank, public library, café/bakery and an old fashioned general store all within walking distance. No venues are open on Sundays.
Our family owned home is a vintage (older) 2 bedroom split level home - built in 1958 - on a spacious one acre lot in the little village of Glenwood - the middle of everywhere you want to be in southern Alberta. As mentioned above it is not a modern home but clean and comfortable. People have commented that it is a step back in time -" like going to grandmas house."
One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. Both rooms have closets with hangers and plenty of space for hanging clothes. Extra blankets are on the closet shelf in each room.
Our home is lived in parts of the year but while you are a guest there you and company are the sole occupants of the house. Some family pictures hang on walls and displayed on cabinets. They will not be removed.
While I make every effort to be sure the home is clean and tidy I cannot promise or guarantee a fly or bug free home. The house is located in a country setting with horses and livestock pasturing close by and crop fields next door. These all attract insects.
The front walk coming in to the house is ramped and the house is handicap accessible. The stairs going to the upstairs have a stair glide for use by those who cannot climb stairs. The bathroom is equipped with handrails by the toilet and on the tub. The bathroom has a tub with a shower.
The yard is large and spacious and guests are welcome to use it.
In the back of the house is a raspberry patch and small garden. In season you may pick a few raspberries and fresh vegetables to enjoy.
Horses pasture in fields nearby.
The surrounding countryside is breathtaking with close access to some of the best hiking and horse trails in the world. You may witness beautiful sunrises, sunsets and starry night skies. It is away from the bright city lights, shopping malls and traffic jams but offers loads of quiet country living in the heart of southwest Alberta.
There is no bus in Glenwood so you must have a vehicle to get here.

Hi, I am Janet. I live in Glenwood, AB – away from bright city lights, shopping malls and traffic jams but loads of peaceful country living in the heart of southwest Alberta. Here I have some of the best views of the Rocky Mountains amidst plenty of peace and quiet. Glenwood is a close knit community where friends and neighbors look out for one another.
Family is of upmost importance to me. I love living in the country and all that it has to offer. I love the beauty of the mountains around us and the peaceful surroundings. I am an active energetic kind of person and love meeting and learning about people from all walks of life. I enjoy running, camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, home grown food, gardening, family, friends and so much more. I love to read, to create - making my own soaps, lotions and herbal salves and cooking from scratch.
In my years working out of the home I have worked in public service jobs where I have been able to interact with people on a daily basis. Presently, I work part time as an administrative assistant, water treatment plant operator and Director of Emergency Management. I am a happy and content wife, mother and grandmother.
I am not a wide traveller but do love to visit family, historic sites and local parks and attractions.
I try to live my life with this motto - "Be happy - enjoy life and live with no regrets."
