We had a wonderful stay at the Pelican Resort, the location was great and the families around were all very nice and it was a very friendly atmosphere. The pool area was great and we loved to spend our afternoons there. Before we booked anything we asked if we could have a look at the apartment, which we were going to live in for 6 weeks and after our visit we paid for the whole stay, but suspiciously James wrote me two days after my payment was made that the apartment we looked at was sold. We were very angry at first but then found a solution and James offered us another apartment with which we were happy. The first 3 weeks the Wifi was very good and we could do everything on our laptops but then later on we had some difficulties and the internet was quite bad and we had troubles loading anything, even pictures. Furthermore we experienced some problems with our apartment. Our Fridge broke down and we had to replace it, which meant that all our food went bad. The lock at the door had to be replaced because we couldn't lock the door properly. The TV didn't function right at the beginning. The apartment itself was very spacious and we felt very at home. We had a not so pleasant experience when it came to the check-out. The three of us had different destinations therefore we left at different times. My friend asked Sophie if it would be possible to check-out a bit later, whereas she then assured her that it would be no problem, because she didn't have to clean the apartment until the next day. However, I received a phone call from James and he charged me an additional amount of 40$. I told my friends and my friend who asked Sophie for the later check-out called James, whereas he then said that the money isn't for the later check-out but for the cleaning fee which normally is 60$ but because we stayed there for 6 weeks would be 80$. So whether it was the late check-out or the additional cleaning fee, the communication was poor and I was a bit disappointed that we stayed there for 6 weeks and then we had to leave like that. We just felt that James was after our money.
I would still recommend the place but just be sure to make up the rules at the beginning of your stay, not that you will experience the same inconvenience as we did.
