Summary - I wholeheartedly recommend Toni's place.
Details - This was the most pleasant of our stays in Spain thus far, a function of both - the city and the residence. The complete evaluation of our stay and the residence is as follows.
Host - Toni is the owner of the residence and operates the leasing/rental business himself. We got the idea that he has multiple locations and has been in this business for several years and has recently joined Airbnb. No wonder, he was extremely professional and fully prepared when we arrived at the house.
Check-in and Check-out - On our arrival at the residence, he showed us the apartment building, his apartment, the house amenities. He also asked us to sign a lease agreement (which is apparently a local requirement and was not too complex - so don't freak out). During the check-in Toni showed us all the maps and printouts to get us upto speed with things to do in Valencia and make the most out of our stay. It was a very useful 30 minutes chat. We were given two sets of keys for our convenience. Toni asked us to leave the keys inside the apartment when we checked out. Toni was also very flexible about our checkout time. I think this was because the next check-in was not due until the next morning and Toni was genuinely interested in providing us a good stay experience. (5 out 5)
Location - The apartment building is right on the beach. The apartment is on the ground floor. The location is well connected to the city via bus lines (bus stops for lines 31 and 19 are right outside the building and bus stops for additional lines are few minutes walk away). There is also a tram stop (La Cadena) about 15 minutes walk away. Nearby, there are a bunch of restaurants and a supermarket store - Consum. The location was very peaceful and we did not see too many people during the evenings. Though, this might change during summer season.
Residence - It was just as mentioned in the description and shown in photos. The residence was clean and we made effort to keep it that way. Sufficient linens, towels, toilet paper rolls, and other toiletteries were provided. Kitchen was fully equipped and had sugar, oil, and a few spices for us to cook. The supply of hot and cold water was stable and apartment's heating and cooling systems functioned just fine. Interestingly, there was also a beach umbrella at the apartment. Sadly, we couldn't put it to use. Hopefully, next time.
