This comfy space is a perfect place to base yourself as you explore Fundy National Park, Cape Enrage, Mary's Point and the Hopewell Rocks. It features many details that will delight such as the handmade tiles that surround the doors, a beautiful kitchen island, and other artisan touches. Your room includes breakfast basics (homemade bread, butter & jam, coffee & tea) that you can prepare for yourself. There is a kitchen, wifi, private bathroom and a clawfoot bathtub to relax in.

Le logement

Wild and Rustic describes the environment I live in, but Artsy and Cozy would describe the 'Potter's Loft'. It's full of interesting features and comforts. There is an antique claw-foot bathtub with a shower wand to relax in after your day of excursions. The kitchen is beautiful and a pleasure to use with a fridge, gas range and nice lighting. It is equipped with the basics, and if something else is needed, we can probably provide it. If you arrive late and hungry, there is a great snack drawer with a variety of things available at a nominal cost (see photos). We use compost toilets on our property, so that is what you'll find in your private bathroom and also in the 'Rose Room' that you're welcome to use. It is outside near our garden. While the Loft is secure and private, you will walk through our sunroom and my pottery studio to get there. There is a charcoal barbeque you can use, we have charcoal available for a nominal cost. If you prefer a stand-up shower rather than a bathtub, we have one in the sunroom you are welcome to use.

Accès des voyageurs

Vous avez une entrée privée dans votre chambre. Nous vous invitons à utiliser l'un ou l'autre des deux coins de salon de notre véranda - superbes endroits pour vous détendre avec un livre, un café ou une boisson.

You have a private entrance to your room. You are welcome to use either of two seating areas in our sunroom - great spots to relax with a book, coffee or drink.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

For the most part, I am here working in the pottery. It's a separate space and my work won't affect the privacy or enjoyment of your room. I'm happy to take some time if you have questions about what to see and do in the area, or about my pottery techniques and process.

Autres remarques

I want everyone to know they are welcome here in our home and the Potters Loft. We live by the principals of inclusion and respect for all.

If you have any special needs or requests, I will do my best to accommodate them.
Please note there is a bathtub only in your room. If you prefer to shower, we have one in the sunroom you are welcome to use. It's sweet and rustic, has endless hot water, and you will shower among growing plants at your feet and grape vines overhead.

We use compost toilets here in our house and in the Potter's Loft. They are very easy to use and are virtually odourless thanks to our 'Peat Moss' system.
The price includes a cleaning fee and 15% HST. I would consider a one night stay, but a $30 cleaning charge will be added to the fee.

Tim has taken the most extensive care to receiving his guests that I have experienced with air b and b. He has tended to every need possible. The property is beautiful as is the room and the grounds. There is the most pleasant outdoor shower among the grapevines and the rose toilet is the cleanest and most tended outdoor toilet I have experienced. Don't let the idea daunt you. The place is perfect.

Where to begin, Tim is amazing! He's helpful, informative, considerate, resourceful, quick to communicate, and an all around nice guy. The Potter's Loft is quaint with a spectacular view and a small skylight to boot. There were so many extras that we felt right at home and spoiled (Homemade bread, fresh jam, fresh flowers, and a personalized tour of the place upon arrival). Tim is a talented artist and was willing to show us various aspects of his work and process. He has delicious black currants, raspberries and grapes growing on his property. There is a peaceful reading couch in his sunroom (Where he grows his own herbs and veggies, so awesome!) He's also very close to what we think is the best beach in the Fundy area, as well as some neat "off-the-beaten trail" attractions: Ha Ha Cemetery, New Horton Lake, and Waterside Winery for those that like fruit wines. There is no TV, so put down Netflix and your phone and go outside and enjoy the fresh air and the views. Now, to comment on the Composting Toilet, of which I was leery and skeptical at first. There's a bucket of peat moss that is used to cover your business, and surprisingly cuts out the smell. If you smell something, your face is probably in the toilet ;) But if you're still a tad sensitive to the smell, there is an exhaust fan :) There are lovely aromatic soaps too. The bathtub was nice and deep, and had a separate hand held shower head if you needed it. The kitchen is well equipped and has all the basics that you need. They provided Tea and Coffee which was so lovely to have after hiking and allowed us to unwind. Internet connection was steady to stream music through the wireless Bose speaker. We will most definitely keep this little gem in mind the next time we're in the Maritimes. Thank you Tim and Nina for opening the Potter's Loft to us. We hope many more guests get to experience Fundy with you.

If you love nature, pottery and homemade bread & jam you must stay here. This was our favourite place on our east coast road trip. Tim is an amazing host and artist. Make sure you stay up late enough to do some star-gazing, followed by a relaxing bath. And don't let the compost toilet deter you.

Tim is an excellent host who has thought of everything to make our stay special. His home is truly magical and minutes from so many incredible beaches by the Bay of Fundy (Waterside, Two Rivers Inlet, Cape Enrage). He even has a mystical lake trail right off of his property, perfect for a foggy New Brunswick morning hike! He showed us around his workshop and shared his craft with us which adorns the entire home and makes it special and distinctly his. His drawers of back-up snacks/condiments/ treats is genius. The layout of the room is cozy but perfect for two people or a solo traveler and Tim knows how to make himself available while giving you as much privacy as you'd like. Thank you Tim and Nina for being such gracious hosts!

Very unique, clean, and fun place to stay. Host was very friendly and provided lots of tips about things to see in the area. Close to hope well rocks, cape enrage, Alma, and the Fundy national park. Was only here for two nights. Would recommend staying longer to really relax and see and do more.

We had a wonderful time at Tim's place. The room is one of a kind! There are many lovely details that delight and show how much Tim cares about making a room comfortable. There is a fully equiped kitched, delicious homemade bread, a snack drawer and a bathtub that allow you to relax. The flowerroom with its vegetables as well as the backyard make a great spot to hang out. The studio is perfectly located to explore Fundy Nationalpark and Hopewell Rocks. Tim is a great host, a very kind person! On a rainy day Tim provided us with two umbrellas. We are grateful that our paths have crossed. We can highly recommend Tim's place!

I am a full time potter and musician living a busy and creative life in rural New Brunswick. I moved here, drawn to the rugged beauty of the coast and the freedom to develop an independent and expressive lifestyle. My partner Nina & I love travelling, so we have set up this room to be the kind of accommodation that we'd be thrilled to find in our own travels. Nina is a real foodie and manages a popular vegetarian restaurant in Moncton called Calactus. She's also a musician and gifted songwriter, a yoga enthusiast and aromatherapist. We enjoy the good things in life, and try to grow as much food in our sunroom and garden as possible. We sometimes have chickens, pigs and goats as well. (None at the moment though). I work at home, so you'll likely have me here to greet you and help you out. I love art that is original and stimulating. The same for music. I play cello and guitar, am a CBC radio addict, and originally from Manitoba. You can see what I'm up to creatively at Tim Isaac Pottery.
