The 1865 John Hael House is located on Main St in the historic downtown of the oldest French Settlement west of the Mississippi. Walk to nearby museums, shops, restaurants and a local winery.
Hael House has a large living room/dining area. A kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, but no stove. The main floor has a private bedroom with a queen sized bed and bathroom off a hallway. Covered porch and a yard behind the house. Upstairs bedroom sleeps two on twin beds. Living room sofa bed sleeps two.
The Hael House was built in 1865, by German immigrants who settled in Ste Genevieve in the middle 1800's. Very typical German brick vernacular home of that period. It is cozy and quiet and wonderful get-away. My husband and I used it as such, before moving to Ste Genevieve permanently two years ago.
