Close to city, this house is traditional Scottish design- the oldest house in Leith, built pre-1750. Original wooden floors, shutters, fireplace...lots of history! Ideal for the Festival - short walk/bus ride to Princes Street -immediate area has lots of shops, really trendy cafes, bars, restaurants, Festival Fringe venues... Good for couples/families (with kids)/friends. Free off-street parking. Welcoming atmosphere!
- You are expected to treat the place as you would your own home, keeping the shared areas clean and tidy and keeping noise at a reasonable level after 10.00p.m.

Hi! I've been teaching English all my life and run a small English language school, Scotland Study Centre, in the centre of Edinburgh.
I've traveled all my life - all over- and I know how important it is to have a safe, clean, friendly, and relaxing place where you can feel at home. I understand and speak French, German and Japanese quite well -my Spanish, Malay and Chinese used to be ok, but pretty rusty now! My husband speaks fluent Arabic.
I love travelling, languages, and history. I know all about the history of Edinburgh and can tell you all the interesting stories to make your stay more interesting and enjoyable! My son Jamie hosts our Aberdeen house. He is a student and is usually at Aberdeen University library, which os only a 5/10 minute walk from the house.
We like guests to feel at home. We don't provide breakfast but you are welcome to help yourself to tea/coffe/ceral/toast on arrival/ the first morning.
