Excellent location - walking distance to Riverwalk attractions, and to Blue Star. Quiet and secluded location with the convenience of being downtown. Just off the Riverwalk, we were able to enjoy a lot of what downtown SA has to offer. Accommodations were spacious, charming, with convenient access. Roland was a wonderful and welcoming host. Don't forget to stop by the main house for breakfast!

The Inn is wonderful! Soft, luxurious sheets. The Espada Suite has the most luxurious whirpool tub with a sweet chandelier overhead. The homemade hot breakfast every day was unique and delicious. Not your typical or average fare! An absolutely delightful place to stay and very convenient location, too!

First off my wife and I were not originally booked to stay here, but our original booking cancelled the night before our stay, and what a stroke of luck for us!!! Roland's Inn at the Riverwalk was a welcome surprise to our last minute booking. The location is awesome, right on the river and super close to all the downtown Riverwalk action but tucked away a very short walk down the river side so as to be very quiet at night even though we were there on a Friday and Saturday night. It was great to be staying at a true Bed and Breakfast with a wonderful breakfast each morning that was more than worth waking early for since we were out late both evenings at the Maverick Music Festival. The breakfasts were served fast and were in a great common dining room so as to encourage meeting other guests which we did and had some great conversations with a couple visiting from Jacksonville, Florida. Each breakfast was made fresh and had a nice variety, definitely were two distinctly different dishes the two mornings we were there. The two buildings were historic houses, one of which was a little over a hundred years old I believe. The suite we were in was furnished in a way to stay true to the historic feel and gave the location great charm. The Espada Suite had a four post bed, a large armoire wardrobe closet, and a great old writing desk with the fold down/up desk. It also had a small refrigerator with (an actual separate freezer). There were chilled glasses inside with a wine opener waiting for us and a couple bottles of water. The bathroom was nice as well with a jetted tub and great towels, maybe not a big deal to some but I hate when a hotel gives you small cheap towels....the property had lots of outdoor seating with a wrap around porch on one building and a large outdoor patio that connected to the dinning room in the other building. Great places to have a seat and a drink overlooking the river. Roland was a very hospitable host, and mingled with his guests including us upon our arrival to supply information about his property and any of the local attractions. He was also present at our first breakfast chatting with all the guests and ensuring that everyone was well taken care of. Overall this was a great stay and we look forward to our next trip to the Riverwalk and our next stay at the Inn....thanks Roland!!!

This BnB is so great! In the most charming house and the perfect location! Such a short walk to all the action on the riverwalk, the tower of the Americas, the Alamo etc. The rooms have a old school vibe with all the modern day amenities which is a pleasure for everyone I'm sure! Equally as important (for me at least)... every morning the breakfast is prepared fresh and is a lovely balanced meal that isn't short on deliciousness! I can't say enough good things! I'll definitely be back!

The location was unique, quiet, and right on the river walk. My husband and I enjoyed the fact that we were a short walk to the main shops and restaurants of the river walk. The breakfast and staff were great. An overall wonderful and surprisingly peaceful experience.

Roland and staff were very kind and attentive in this cute BB on the Riverwalk. We enjoyed the cottage room with spa tub for relaxation as well as the quaint chicken coop out front and sitting porch. Breakfast was delicious with interactive guests and always helpful staff.

Born and raised in San Antonio, I enjoy good conversation, wine and travel. I'm a practicing dentist and in 2014 I acquired Inn on the Riverwalk, which was the first Bed and Breakfast I stayed at two decades ago. I enjoy providing a comfortable, friendly, home like stay in a unique setting for our guests. In my spare time, I enjoy the lake, beach and my kids.
