À propos de ce logement

An adorable and surprisingly spacious studio apartment on wheels. This cozy school bus home is perfect for anyone seeking out a unique travel experience and the photos & stories that come along with it. The bus doors open to an edible garden with tomatoes, blueberries, veggies, and more.

Le logement

A beautiful hand-built school bus home, complete with an edible garden, a cozy bed, hammocks, music, and more. We also have yummy smelling candles which light up the bus beautifully at night. You will not be able to drive the bus during your stay and will only be given a key to the front door.

BATHROOMS - Note there is not an on-site bathroom. There are bathrooms available during the day right across the street. There are also showers that I may be able to provide access to.

Accès des voyageurs

If interested, guests may request bicycles for transportation during the stay. You're also welcome to pick some veggies from the garden.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

I'll be around if you need anything you can just call.

Autres remarques

The bus has a bed that can sleep 2 people, 1-2 hammocks that can be easily set up, and optionally a second bed can be set up on the floor if truly needed. For longer stays the dresser can be made available. Please note there is no bathroom. You can use the school's facilities right next door as long as you sign in.

Christopher was a great host. He took time off of work to come meet me and did not mind at all when I was a bit late. He was there with two friends and they were both very nice and inviting. Christopher explained all the little details of the place and made sure I felt comfortable. Going in I was not expecting much. I just wanted a place to sleep but I wanted something a bit different than the typical hotels in the city. There isn't a bathroom in the bus but there is one near by although I never got a chance to use it. I was only there a few hours to just sleep and then move on. I had a great time honestly. When I told my friends I stayed in a bus for the night they were like why? If you are one of those people maybe it's not for you but if you are up for something different and like that sense of adventure. This is a great experience.

I stayed at Christopher's place for 10 nights. For a little discount and because i was traveling alone, Christopher stayed in the bus with me. I could not wish on a better place to stay in san fran than his bus! I had a lot of fun staying there and getting to know Chris. He is a really nice guy and was very welcoming. The bus is clean and lovely! Oh, and plus there's a garden at your disposition! You can have delicious fresh and free salads whenever you want. There is no shower as you probably guessed it but it has not been a problem at all for me because Chris brought me when ever i asked him to the university behind Chris' bus (the uni where he studies too) to go shower. He even have access to the kitchen. I recommand the BlueBird to any of you if you want a unique Californian experience.

I loved Christopher's bus! Clean and simple set up. Just the basics, but you don't need much else! Such a unique experience and great way to stay in San Francisco. It's a great location; in between SOMA and Potrero Hill; basically in the Dogpatch! When I come back , I will definitely see if his spot is available!

Christopher's place is super cool. A great little spot if your looking for something different/unique. One thing to note is the experience is kind of like camping and can be a little noisy. Otherwise it's a awesome space and the tomatoes in the garden are delicious! I'd recommend this to anyone that is interested in doing things differently! Cheers

Chris has put so much love into his bus, and we had a wonderful experience. He built all the structures himself and has a lush vegetable garden! The tomatoes were delicious. Surprisingly spacious- feels like an sf apartment, but an alternative experience. Good vibes. We live in sf but were in a jam for a night being in between places and Chris booked us last minute :)

Great little spot for a hippie experience. The lack of running water and electricity makes it feel more like camping than anything. I can't imagine staying for more than a night or two, but it was perfect for my needs. It's parked in a bit of a dead zone although there's a towing company next door that seems to stay brightly lit with lots of people coming and going throughout the night. Otherwise there's not much around. Chris was a friendly host and was responsive when I had questions. Left me a welcome note and a bottle of champaigne for being his first guest. So 5 stars for him. :)
