À propos de ce logement
Right in the best location for exploring beautiful Amsterdam, we offer a spacey, bright room (with access to a small balcony with chairs and bbq for sunny days.) Walking distance to all main attractions - 3min to Anne Frank House, 10min to Dam Square, 10min to Central Station and 1min to Winkel43, home of the best Apple Cake in Amsterdam! Furthermore, it's in the heart of beautiful Jordaan area with weekly farmer’s market, local shops, boutiques and great restaurants and bars.
Our home is an amazing apartment in a canal-side house on Prinsengracht with tons of windows and light. It´s got beautiful old features, like beams and stairs, that give it a real rustic, homey charm. The bedroom is spacious and bright and on the quiet side of the house, so great for a quiet night after a long day of exploring and enjoying Amsterdam. The room also has a double bed, a clothes' stand with space to hang your things, a small chest of drawers and a small wooden side table. Please note all the clothes in the pictures would be removed from the room for your stay of course.
Also on the upper floor is the bathroom with a toilet, shower and bath. We´ll provide toiletries and towels that you can use, so you don´t need to worry about bringing them if that makes things easier.
Downstairs is another toilet and the amazing open plan kitchen/living area, which is bright and airy and fully equipped with an oven, gas hobs, dishwasher, all the necessary crockery, a cafetiére and multiple tea pots for all your tea needs!
Accès des voyageurs
Of course you´ll have a set of keys so you can go in and out of the house as you please. Please note the entrance to the flat is a set of pretty steep stairs (as is the case in many of the old Amsterdam canal houses.)
The bedroom is all yours, and you'll have access to the kitchen/dining area and living room too. It depends a little on when you're there and what our flat mates' schedules are those days if you'll be alone or not and we'd ask you to be considerate to them if they're around. The bathroom is also shared with them, however we never have any problems with 4 people using it as they're on a different schedule to us, so we don't anticipate any issues for you either!
Échanges avec les voyageurs
If possible, we will meet and greet you ourselves, give you the keys and answer any questions you have. If not, you'll probably be met by one of our flat mates who'll explain everything to you. You'll have our phone numbers so if there are any problems you can contact us and we will get back to you and try to sort it right away.
We live on Prinsengracht, one of the most iconic canals in Amsterdam, which is really wonderful. It's close enough to the city centre (10 minutes walking to Dam Square) and also far enough away that it's not too chaotic and noisy.
It´s in the Jordaan neighbourhood which is one of the best parts of Amsterdam (I know we're biased but really it is), and there's tons of independent shops, amazing cafés and restaurants, lots of nice bars for having a drink in, and some cool coffee shops if you're into that ;)
It´s also close to Westerpark which is a really great park, it's beautiful and it also has so many events and festivals on. And if you feel like exploring Noord Amsterdam, you can take the (free!) ferry from nearby Westerdok which drops you off right where the IJ Hallen Markt is (the biggest flea market in Europe, once a month) as well as some amazing bars and restaurants - one of them even has a beach!
There are tram lines close to the apartment though we suggest doing it Amsterdam style and renting yourself a bike with which you can explore the whole city at your own pace. Alternatively, the flat is so conveniently located, one can quite easily walk to most central sights and attractions.
