À propos de ce logement
Treganoon House is a rural Victorian Farmhouse, once the largest farm in the Parish, but over the years bits of land and barns have been sold off. What remains is a lovely old granite home surrounded by fields.
In 2013 we took it on and are slowly restoring it, whilst establishing a small holding in the surrounding 5 acres - Grand Designs meets The Good Life.
One day it will be a guest house, for now we offer a beautiful room with ensuite in a house that is mainly a renovation project!
Treganoon House is a large Victorian granite Farmhouse built circa 1850, as an extension to the original farm cottage which dates back to circa 1650. The house is found off a narrow Cornish lane that leads to a neighbouring dairy farm. It is very quiet here, even in the midsummer madness it simply feels like you are escaping the crowds. As a guest recently said "Excellent, secluded deep countryside location, perfect to wind down from a busy life."
The guest room is a large room with two single beds that can be arranged as singles, or put together as a double. There is also space for the provision of 2 put-you-up beds, suitable for children. A travel cot can be made available upon request. There is a charge of £10 per additional person.
Our guest room is on the ground floor and has its own ensuite with a low profile shower tray. There is one step up into the house and a small step into the bedroom.
We also have another double room available so can accommodate up to 6 guests.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests are free to walk in our two fields that we planted up with saplings 3 years ago to one day become a small woodland. Views of the local granite Tor, amazing sunsets and, if your lucky, a barn owl on patrol can all be seen from our top field. Guests are also free to relax in our back garden. Our garage is available to store bikes, surfboards and other beach gear in.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We are more than happy to provide guests with tips on where to go and what to see during their stay, if needed. We also have a German speaker in the family.
Off road parking is available.
We realise that many people travel for hours to reach Cornwall and that sometimes arrival can be late. We are happy for guests to arrive late into the evening with prior notice.
We don't really have house rules, except to ask that you treat our home as you would expect us to treat yours.
There is no smoking in the house, but guests are welcome to smoke outside.
