The Martini Cottage is close to downtown Stowe with its art, shopping and restaurants. You’ll love it here because of the location (a 20 minute walk to town) mountain bike trails right from the road, beautiful local hiking and skiing and its cozy and quirky charm. Not to mention so many wonderful breweries nearby. Couples, adventurers, and families (with kids) will all be comfortable here.

Le logement

You'll love our fully renovated and cozy cottage. The property includes 2 acres, some of it as a large yard, the rest as wooded hillside. You may see the occasional deer and in the summer you'll enjoy the fireflies in the yard. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can enjoy home cooked meals in the dining room or on the deck. The upstairs has 2 rooms, each with a queen bed and its own sitting area. There is a small room off of the living room with a futon for extra guests.

Accès des voyageurs

If we aren't around to welcome you, you'll walk along the side of the house to the mudroom. Once inside the mudroom, you'll be able to enter the code on the keypad to unlock the back door of the house.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

If you are staying in the house, its unlikely that we'll be here as well, though perhaps you'll arrive just as we leave. We are always available through the message feature of airbnb.

Autres remarques

The thermostat is located just inside the door of the futon room. There is a quirky electrical system (URL HIDDEN) seems that most top outlets are connected to a light switch. Just know that its possible to try to charge your devices and then turn the lights off and perhaps your devices will no longer be charging.

- While families with young children would enjoy the cottage very much, there are a few child safety concerns with lack of safety gates at the stairs. We encourage you to supervise young children upstairs at all times.
- Also, well-behaved dogs would be okay, but please no cats as we're allergic.
- And while, I checked "Events or parties allowed", please respect the place like your own home. I marked it as yes because while the house is small, there is a large yard and space to entertain outside (as well as a grill).

Great stay at the Martini cottage. Easy directions to find the house and get in. Enjoyed lawn games in the back yard, cooked great meals in kitchen and slept well in beds. Worth knowing that you have to pass through one bedroom upstairs to get to the other, so limited privacy. Would definitely come back again!

Martini Cottage is so lovely! It was perfect for my family of four who had plenty of room to spread out. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. Jaimee took great care in decorating the cabin and emphasizing its charm. As fellow Airbnb homeowners, we were quite impressed and would definitely recommend and return on our next visit to Stowe. The location is fabulous too and close to all the sights and restaurants.

For our first time in Vermont, our stay at the Martini Cottage and the kindness and hospitality that Jaimee and family have shown us has made us want to come back again in the future and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We stayed at the Martini Cottage as an end of the summer family trip through New England stopping first at Vermont then heading down the coast. Traveling with pets can sometimes be difficult when you're trying to find a place to stay, so there was little hesitation when we found the Martini Cottage. Don't let the term "cottage" fool you. While seemingly small, there was plenty of leg room outside as well as in to spend a cozy evening with your family or get a some time alone and really take in the quiet, natural surroundings that, as urban/city dwellers, we rarely get the chance to appreciate. The kitchen was probably our favorite part of the cottage as it was well stocked and well equipped with updated appliances and plenty of utensils and dishes. What we did have to get used to was the water since it had a strong mineral taste to it. We just used the Brita filter that was also supplied to filter out drinking water during our stay. Other than that we found that the cottage had everything that we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Location is definitely something worth noting here. We took advantage of walks along the road (which runs adjacent to a stream) in the mornings and frequented the Green Goddess Cafe which was just about a 10 minute walk from the cottage. The historical village of Stowe was also very close by car and by foot. Jaimee provided an extensive binder full of maps, brochures, and personal insights of things to do in and around the area so there was never a dull moment and our stomach were always satisfied. I would say that major attractions like the Ben & Jerry's Factory in Waterbury and the Von Trapp Family Lodge were just about a 30 minute drive from the cottage. The Cabot Cheese Factory is also a decent drive away. Other tips that we would offer for anyone visiting the cottage/Stowe in August: - If you're not used to weather up north, pack some thermals/sweaters and socks as it gets a bit chilly at night and mornings if you're an early riser like me. - A place where we would highly recommend visiting that's about a 40 minute drive is the Shelburne Farm in Shelburne, Vermont. - The road leading to the cottage isn't paved (at least it wasn't when we were visiting) so take your time driving and enjoy the view.

Great spot! Cozy and comfortable. Loved the location- close but still private enough for a great Stowe getaway. We will be back! Thanks!

Had a great stay at Martini Cottage. Location! Location! Location! Close to Stow, Waterbury and highway. The pictures don't do the house justice and the yard was great for the dogs. My parents can't stop taking about it either. Looking forward to staying again.

My partner and our furry friend just returned home from a lovely 3-day stay in Martini Cottage, where we found everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing -- albeit quite rainy -- weekend. We particularly enjoyed the fact that the kitchen was very well equipped with high-quality meal-making necessities and that the house and yard were private so our pup could enjoy a short off-leash wander. Beds were comfortable, and the recommendations for restaurants were spot-on. Much better value than any of the motels in the area! We hope to return within the year :) Oh, and we loved the martini glasses. Will need to find some for ourselves now!

This place was great -- even better than the pictures! It accommodated 6 (with a bit of bed sharing), the kitchen is fantastic, and it has a nice big yard. Close to the best breweries and restaurants in Stowe, yet secluded enough to have a private getaway. Also just a short drive to Waterbury and Burlington, in addition to lots of fun hikes and swimming holes. My only complaint is that there was only one bathroom, on the first floor of this two-story cottage. Otherwise, it met/exceeded all expectations, and I'd highly recommend it.

We are Jaimee and Asa Martin, owners of The Martini Cottage. We have enjoyed many wonderful vacations with our kids for a few years now. We decided it was time to own a piece of Stowe for ourselves. We look forward to sharing our charming little cottage with you.
