À propos de ce logement
Stay in a bright, modernized spanish style home right near the center of Culver City. Walk to all the night life and enjoy a large, private back yard with gardens, hens, and a great deck for eating outside.
We love our house and you will too!
Perfect for a summer getaway and for a family vacation. Our modern Spanish style house was renovated a year and a half ago and has a clean, modern feel to it. It's situated on one of Culver City's most sought after street—Lincoln Ave. Lincoln is lined on both sides with giant ficus trees that create a canopy over the neighborhood. It's also easy walking distance to the center of Culver—where you'll find cinemas, restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques.
Our house has a master bedroom and two bedrooms with twin beds. There's also a garage studio with a fold-out bed that's quite comfortable. Two full baths--one new with a beautiful shower and one renovated with a tub.
The house is equipped with photovoltaic panels. That means the electricity you use is produced on the rooftop solar system! You don't have to do anything, but we wanted you to know you'll be making electricity when you stay at our home!
The house has a great flow from updated kitchen through to generous hardwood deck—shaded by a new canopy system—and on through to a huge backyard complete with veggie and herb gardens.
We are close to the Culver skate park and playgrounds at Bill Botts, as well as the hike up Baldwin Hill, with a great view of LA on clear days. Public transit is available too—buses along Culver Blvd to the Marina and beach, and the new Expo line from Culver to downtown LA.
Accès des voyageurs
You'll have all the theaters, bars, restaurants and coffee shops of Culver City within a 5 minute walk! We love the access we have to all the Culver City spots, as well as the Tuesday farmer's market on Main St. In the other direction, there's a park with a super cool kids playground, a city-run skate board park, and just a bit further on, Baldwin Hills scenic overlook, with the big stair climb featured in one of the latest Apple iPhone 5 spots. There is also easy access to the Ballona Creek bike path that will take you straight to the Pacific Ocean, about 5-6 miles west and an easy cycle.

We'll be out of town during the dates listed, so you're on your own.
The immediate neighborhood is very low key and friendly. As mentioned in the description, our street is lined with huge fig tress that canopy the roadway in dramatic effect.
There are busses and now there's the new Expo line, a light rail that goes to downtown LA with stops at the USC and the museums of natural history and space and science along the way.

I'm Andrew and I grew up in a small town on Cape Cod. I've not lived there since high school, though my folks still do and it's an amazingly vibrant and beautiful place to visit, especially in summer. As for my interests, I'm an everyday cyclist and avid bike fan. I ride about 20 miles per day on my commute, from Culver City to Santa Monica. I also love to sail, fish, and garden. We have two big raised beds at our house in Culver, and five hens. It's a bit of an urban homesteading scene here.
