À propos de ce logement

My place is in the heart of Wiscasset Village - the prettiest village in Maine. This rental is for the whole house, two bedrooms (a queen and a twin in each) with a loft room for sleeping bags. Note: we now have WiFi and cable TV.

You’ll love my place because of its antique charm. There are hardwood floors throughout with water views from bedroom windows. Walking distance to the harbor and wonderful shops and restaurants. Fall in Maine is a special time. Come see!

Description

My place is in the heart of Wiscasset Village - the prettiest village in Maine. This rental is for the whole house, two bedrooms (a queen and a twin in each) with a loft room for sleeping bags. Note: we now have WiFi and cable TV.

You’ll love my place because of its antique charm. There are hardwood floors throughout with water views from bedroom windows. Walking distance to the harbor and wonderful shops and restaurants. Fall in Maine is a special time. Come see!

The queen-sized bed/futon in the master bedroom has views overlooking the harbor. Currently there is a twin bed in the second bedroom. If need be a twin sized air mattress can be added to the second bedroom or the loft room over the kitchen.

You have access to the whole house. If you have bicycles, kayaks or canoes you can bring them and store them in the attached carriage house.

If I am not able to meet you when you arrive, I will tell you in advance where to find the key, but I live just up the road. We are getting ready to move back into this place from another house in Wiscasset which is currently on the market.

If you like antiquing we have many wonderful small antique shops within walking distance. We also have a number of small shops and art galleries within walking distance, the harbor, post office, public library, coffee shop, and restaurants... all a short stroll from the house. Last but not least, we are walking distance to the famous Red's Eats!

While there is a private driveway there are also a few parking spaces on the street nearby. There really is no public transportation such as buses, but I think we have one taxi service. Parking downtown can sometimes be a hassle but that will be okay for you as you have a downtown private parking space.

All communications with Marita were concise and friendly. We never met her in person but she checked in by phone and told us where to find the key. The coffee, cream and biscotti she left for us were perfect. And the Reny's chocolate on the lobster pillow came home with us! The house is a fun mix of old and restored and the location is perfect for beautiful views from several windows and walking the small town and quiet streets at the peak of Fall Color. We'd recommend her cottage (sunny nice old house) to all needing an overnight or longer stay in the Wiscasset- Damariscotta area.

We had a nice stay at Marita's place. It's a unique old home, very roomy and was everything that we needed it to be. It's in a nice quiet neighborhood and there's even a view of the water.

Very charming house in a beautiful historic village. Marita was attentive and courteous and went the extra mile to track down something for us. A very short walk to a wonderful coffee shop and breakfast spot called treats.

I grew up in the village of Wiscasset Maine. I am proud of our town and can't wait to be a host to people from all over the world who are coming to see our Village.
