My place is close to National Parks - 2 hrs 15 mins from Yellowstone, 1 hr 15 mins from Grand Tetons. 1 hr from Jackson Hole.

This is 1 of 4 cabins on Granite Creek Ranch. All have been remodeled and a bathroom added. The cabin has a small refrigerator. The community kitchenette also has a refrigerator where guests can store additional food items. This cabin has a nice over-hang porch with a sitting bench. Our ranch yard has shared lawn chairs, picnic tables, hammocks and a deck with benches and chairs.

Guests have access to the lake, fishing, canoeing, and hiking all over my property of 4,000 acres of scenic mountainous ground. Guests can mountain bike as well.

We offer guided horseback riding and UTV rides at a discount to our airbnb guests. Trailrides are $30/hour/person. Our UTV rides are $25/hour/person. Children 7 years and older may participate in the horse riding. We can also do hand-led rides for children ages 2 to 7. These are $25/child/one-half hour. We offer these activities Monday through Saturday at nine or ten am. Other times can be arranged with enough notice. Please inquire ahead of time if you are interested. Closed-toe shoes and long pants must be worn.

Canoeing and fishing are free. We have some fishing poles you may use. Life jackets must be worn and are provided. Waivers must be signed prior to participating in any horse riding or water activities.

There is a community kitchenette with a walkout deck. This kitchenette is shared between guests from all of our cabins. We have a simple self-serve breakfast: bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, breakfast sandwhiches, milk, juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. There is a campfire area where guests can build a fire and cook hot dogs and smores. Hot-dog roasting sticks are available. I have a propane grill and a propane griddle on the walkout deck for cooking. There are some basic cooking pots, pans, and utensils, as well as grilling necessities. There is a double hot plate for cooking and a small toaster oven.

We will be 'around the ranch" throughout your stay. Someone will be there to greet you and show you around. We are a working ranch and don't always have a lot of time to visit with you, although we would like to! There is a folder in each cabin sharing our history of the ranch, and information about "things to know". We are always available by messaging for any of your needs or questions.

The area is full of natural scenic beauty as well as peace and quiet away from the large crowds around Jackson Hole and Yellowstone. My ranch is the perfect place for travelers looking to relax for a time as well as a great base to access the entire Snake River area for outdoor activities including Heise Hot Springs and Zip Line, white water rafting on the Hoback River, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, sightseeing and much more.

There is no public transport.

Verizon cellular service works best at the ranch. Other cellular service providers usually do not work at the ranch base. Service from most other companies can be accessed at the highway two miles away. Any real grocery stores are an hour away. Be prepared for this. The small town of Swan Valley, 8 miles East of the ranch, has two gas stations with some food items. Swan Valley also has two restaurants.

Even when hot during the day, we are in the mountains and it can get quite chilly at night. There are extra blankets in the drawers in the cabins. There are also heaters. Please be careful when using the heater. Sitting around the warm campfire at night actually makes these cooler nights enjoyable! We have camping chairs and benches, plenty of room to sit and relax! We provide hot-dog roasting sticks, so it is also fun to cook hot-dogs or s'mores. Many of our guests say they especially enjoy this part of the stay!

We have an old friendly red heeler dog. We also have some barn kittens who love attention. However, please don't let them in the cabin.

Pay attention closely to the directions to the ranch. Some gps systems can take you a few miles away. The best way to ensure your at the right spot is to look for mile marker 368, our road entrance is within a couple hundred yards of it. There is a small typical green street sign that says GRANITE CRK. Our ranch is two miles in on this gravel road. You will pass Aspen Hills Retreat on your left as you drive in. Keep driving past this another 1.5 miles. The road dead ends at our ranch so you can't miss it. In a heavy rain it can be muddy; drive slowly and carefully and you should be fine. Your cabin is the northern most cabin, above the door it has a sign, "CORRAL CABIN".There is a place for you to park and unload your luggage right by the cabin. We prefer you park after you unload in the East parking area, as this cabin is located close to our farm shop where we often are working on our farm equipment.

Our cabins are fed with water from a natural spring by gravity flow. Our water pressure may be low at times if many people are showering and bathing at the same time.

wow! granite creek ranch is an amazing place! Peter and his siblings were super accommodating and welcoming to me. I was happy to stay two nights while other guests were also visiting the ranch. the accommodations were some of the best I've experienced through airbnb, though as the listing details, the property is rustic - in a good way, as long as it's your thing! within an hour of jackson. continental breakfast provided, responsive communication, friendly and open hosts. if you're in the area this place is a must-stay!

Nice host, cosy environment, thoughtful arrangement, it is a god experience to stay. Suggest to give more details of direction once reaches to the roadside sign, as it is difficult to communicate in the mountainous area by phone.

Our cabins located on our ranch are easier to find, if you follow the specific directions in the location description. We encourage our guests to carefully read and follow the detailed directions we have listed.

We loved our stay. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen area was great. We didn't expect all the breakfast choices there were. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck each morning. They have so many great amenities; wood for the fire, chairs and hammocks scattered around the properties, canoes and boats, fishing poles. Things you wouldn't think to bring to make your stay comfortable. We really loved our stay.

Peter and his family are great hosts. On the ranch are several lodges varying in size. The ranch is located on a remote location in the middle if nature and wildlife. Also a small lake with clear water, otters, rare birds and rainbowtrout is present. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it very much. Hopefully Peter will be able to pressure up the water in future that taking a shower will be a bit nicer event. :-)

One day isn't nearly enough to stay here. The cabin itself is cozy and very clean and has all the basics you could need. We were traveling with our 4 month old son and the cabin was big enough and accomodating for all of us. The kitchen on the ranch was well stocked and a great addition for convenience sake. The actual ranch the cabin sits on, is beautiful. Peter and Sam let us wander and hike the trails and we loved seeing all the animals on the ranch, including horses, dog, and adorable barn kitties. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

I'm owner and manager of Granite Creek Ranch, a 4th generation cattle ranch where I also grow alfalfa, barley and wheat. I love being able to work outdoors and I enjoy creating a place where others can also come and enjoy the scenery, peacefulness and mountain fresh air. I like learning about different cultures and history as well as learning new skills and ways of doing things.
