Perfect for drinks before dinner and the 3 minute walk to town or a leisurely dinner with family and friends!
Front hall leads to two sitting rooms – the bright living room facing the street with a gas fireplace and the more relaxed “family” room with a large L-shaped sofa opening to the kitchen/dining room. There is also a snug study with a big TV for watching a movie or a place for the kids to play games. A full shower room on the ground floor also has direct access to the exterior connecting to the outdoor shower. The south and west facing kitchen has a large central island, a separate storage pantry and a separate laundry space. The kitchen is wrapped by a deck with a large outdoor dining table and a secluded area with a circle of adirondack chairs around a fire- pit for the chillier evenings! Of course there is WiFi and USB ports throughout the entire house and the First Floor is wired with hidden speakers and a Sonos music system which operates via a mini I-pad provided.
All 4 bedrooms are on the second floor. Two are furnished with queen beds and the front bedroom is set-up with 2 twins which can easily convert to a king. There is another shower room accessible form the hall. A corridor lined with a large linen storage (lots of extra towels when needed!) leads to the vaulted master bedroom with a king size bed and the master bath/dressing room at the rear of the house has a large shower, tub and double vanity facing the trees – you feel like you’re in a tree house! The master bed and bath are on their own Sonos zone.
All the bedrooms have plenty of built in storage.
Availability and rates change frequently during the high demand periods. All dates and rates must be confirmed with Owner prior to booking. Please note that published rates are based on weekly minimums. When allowed a stay period shorter than one week rates may increase to accommodate turn over.
For your protection, after booking through Airbnb, you will be required to sign a lease with the homeowner and Windwalker William Raveis to finalize the booking process.
This property is non-smoking.
That NO PETS of any description shall be kept on the premises. If any pets are found on the premises, this will constitute a violation of the terms and conditions of this lease, and could result in an immediate eviction. If said eviction occurs, all deposits made herein will be forfeited. Any exception to this rule must be written out and signed by all parties in the lease.
That the TENANT shall not sublet the leased premises, nor any part thereof.
That all personal property of the TENANT brought onto the leased premises shall be at the sole risk of the TENANT.
Owner will not be responsible for any damages to any personal property on the premises. Should a substantial portion of the premises be damaged by fire or other unavoidable casualty, owner may elect to terminate this lease. When such fire, casualty or other taking renders the premises or any part thereof unfit for use and occupancy, a just and proportionate abatement of rent shall be made.
Tenant hereby acknowledges that the leased premises may be subject to a mortgage. In the event this Lease is terminated by reason of foreclosure of a mortgage or other lien against the leased premises, Tenant hereby holds Broker harmless from and against any loss or damage resulting there from.
The LANDLORD acknowledges that under Massachusetts Law, the described property may be deemed to contain lead paint, if constructed before 1978. The LANDLORD acknowledges that wherever a child or children under 6 years of age resides in any residential premises in which any paint, plaster or other accessible materials contain dangerous levels of lead as defined pursuant to M.G.L. c.111, s. 199B the landlord shall remove or cover said paint, plaster or other materials so as to make it inaccessible to other children. The agent named herein does not know whether the lead paint is present in said property. The landlord agrees to indemnify and hold harmless, Windwalker Real Estate from any action taken by the tenant pursuant to an alleged violation of these regulations.
That the TENANT agrees to allow the LANDLORD or his agent, upon 24 hour notice to show the premises should the property be listed for sale; to inspect the premises; to make repairs and improvements to the premises, and to protect the premises if it appears that said premises have been abandoned by the TENANT.

Melanie Gowen was born and raised in Washington, DC, but she has always had a love for coastal New England where her lifelong love for real estate began. She graduated from National Cathedral School in 2005 and from Cornell University in 2009 with a BS in Interior Design and Business Strategy. While at Cornell she studied International Marketing and Wines in Florence, Italy and was on the Sailing Team. After college, Melanie worked in financial consulting and gained experience in mortgage banking and regulatory strategy. Managing assets for clients, who often were entrepreneurs owning mulitple real estate assets, she became fascinated with the design and marketing as tools impacting the success of real estate and business. She returned to her architectural roots and founded Melanie Gowen Design, and branding and design firm. When the opportunity came to work on a full-scope investment property renovation in Nantucket, Melanie followed her lifelong dream to live on an island, amongst the most beautfiul properties in the world. She especially loves the melding of historic preservation and innovative design that presents unique challenges for renovation and building.
