We will be available upon check in to greet you and make sure you are comfortable in the house and neighborhood. We do not live on site.
This is a very quiet cul du sac and the neighbors will not tolerate loud parties. Not a rental for fraternity reunions or for bar-hopping and crashing. A better base for walking, sightseeing, and exploring San Diego however cannot be found. :-)
Note #1: Bedroom # 2 has a very comfortable and highest consumer rated raised Queen sized air-mattress with adjustable firmness and a Tempurpedic topper. People love it and swear it is not an air mattress.
Note #2-The house does not have central air conditioning as it is usually pretty cool in the summer with the screened windows open as we are so near the ocean. On those summer days when it does get really hot, we have window air-conditioners that cool the place down in minutes.
- Ample street parking right in front of house.
-Quiet neighborhood so quiet time after 10pm on weeknights, 12am on weekends.

My wife and I are educators, artists, and environmentalists. We live in Los Angeles and have this wonderful retreat in San Diego that we want to share with like minded families. We have tried to make it a reflection of our tastes and love for mid-century design, in the heart of historic Mission Hills. Located on a quiet cul de sac just a short walk from our favorite restaurants, it is the perfect escape for us from the intensity of our busy lives in Los Angeles. Built in 1926, our 825 sq. ft. Spanish bungalow has a warmth and comfort that simply cannot be found at most hotels. This is our home away from home and we hope you consider and treat it as your home away from home as well, even if for only a few days. I wish we could be here more often, but look forward to sharing it with others when we can't.
