Thanks for the review! My apologies that we never got a chance to meet -- I do go to sleep rather early.
Yes, Brooklyn has indeed been going through a gentrification phase for a while now. We absolutely love the diversity of our neighborhood, and encourage guests who appreciate that to stay with us. Since Brooklyn is southeast of Manhattan, there are some famous landmarks in Manhattan that it is closer to than others. For example, we're less than 30 minutes away from Chinatown/Little Italy, the Freedom Tower, the village, and SoHo, but further away from Central Park and Times Square. We're even closer to some of the great attractions in Brooklyn, such as Brooklyn Bridge Park, Smorgasburg, The Brooklyn Museum, and the botanical gardens. We encourage our prospective guests to take a look at (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps and ensure that our location is a good fit with their travel plans.
It was a pleasure to host you and your wife, and you're both welcome back anytime you're in town again! Hopefully next time we can provide some nearby recommendations that suit you better.
