The RV park is close to restaurants and dining. You’ll love it because of the plentiful outdoors and 360 degree unobstructed view of the sky. We boast the lowest cloud cover of any region in the path of totality for the 2017 Solar Eclipse, meaning you'll have the best chance of viewing the full eclipse here in John Day. Our city is great for couples, active retirees, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and pets.
We are offering RV sites with water and sewer services only.
- RV camping space only (RVs are not included)
- Sites include sewer and water only (no electricity)

I am the City Manager for John Day, Oregon. John Day is a quaint but lively frontier community in the heart of the Umatilla and Malheur National Forests. At 3,000 feet in elevation, we have mild summers with 206 sunny days per year. We welcome you to join us during the August 2017 Solar Eclipse. We will be hosting multiple RV and tent campsites within our city limits including full service water and sewer hook-ups, convenient access to multiple restaurants and food service vendors, a modern hospital and other local amenities. We would like to invite you to join us in viewing this once in a lifetime opportunity!
