À propos de ce logement
The Blue Door is close to the city center yet in a quiet residential neighborhood. You’ll love it because of the convenient location and the natural park-like setting. It's a great place for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small families. We also have an EV charging station for guests with plug-in vehicles.
The Blue Door is an 823-square foot one-bedroom apartment in a quiet Hendersonville neighborhood. It's the entire first level with driveway parking at the entrance door and it's all on one level with easy access into and throughout the apartment. A new kitchen with full-size appliances and a new bathroom with a walk-in shower have just been added to an already existing spacious living area and cozy, private bedroom. The bedroom has a king-size iComfort bed with a half bath. The living area has a new and very comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa and a 54-inch flat screen cable TV and Internet with Wi-Fi. The living area also has a fireplace with gas logs to warm you on cool nights and chilly mornings. A mini-split heating and air conditioning system with remote-control units in each room offer specific climate control for the bedroom, living area and kitchen. Our house is on 2 acres of land with streams, a shady tree-filled yard, and scenic pasture and barn across the street, yet within walking distance to restaurants, coffee/bagel shops, breweries, a park and greenway and a small food market.
Accès des voyageurs
The entire first level, driveway and front yard with park bench overlooking the creek and pasture across the street. Please park in front of the entrance and leave the garage side clear for our use. Thanks!
Note from hosts: We love a good breakfast ourselves so we enjoy stocking the Blue Door refrigerator with local farm fresh eggs, muffins/scones or bread and orange juice. We also have really great coffee and cream, along with an assortment of teas; plus bottled water, filtered water and drinks. Guests should feel free to use anything that's in the refrigerator. It's for you! If you don't feel like cooking, there's a wonderful bagel/coffee shop within walking distance (Joey's Bagels).
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We live on site and enjoy greeting and meeting guests when they arrive, if we are home at the time, and are happy to offer any suggestions to help make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. We respect your privacy, as we ask that you respect ours, but we are always available via text or cell phone (our numbers are listed in our guest guide book), in case you have questions or need anything.
Driveway parking is available, but please park in front of the entrance because we use the garage side for plugging in an electric vehicle. An outside electric vehicle charging station is also available to guests.
NOTE: Though small families with children are welcome, our place is not set up to be baby-proof/safe.
- No smoking allowed inside or near premises. If you must smoke, there is a designated outside area
- No big parties, but your dinner guests are welcome.
- Driveway parking available in front of The Blue Door. Please don't park in front of the garage side because we use the garage for a plug-in vehicle. If you have more than one car, there is overflow parking in a grassy area beside the driveway.

Philip Correll and Licia Gaut-Correll live in Hendersonville, North Carolina, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, near Asheville. We have been blessed to call Hendersonville home for the past 35 years. Philip is a pilot and works as an electronics engineer and is a whiz at fixing computers and just about anything else. Licia has retired from the world of newspaper publishing and enjoys working part time as a mobile notary. We love music (Philip plays guitar, bass, and drums and Licia loves dancing), and hiking with our dog Lady, who will likely greet you with her "someone-is-here" bark. She's in our fenced-in back yard, but loves people and will gladly accept attention.
