Description

Our home is located in a commercial/residential zone in Venice/Marina del Rey. It is a self-contained rear unit of a single-story duplex. Front unit A is a commercial office & rear unit B is residential (shares one common wall). Unfortunately, there is no garage access but there is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood (see picture). The home is walking distance to famed Abbot Kinney & Venice Beach Pier. It is an easy drive or ride share to/from LAX & Santa Monica. NO SMOKING, NO PARTIES.

Our home is a self-contained rear unit of a single-story building. It has a gated/keyed entry and a common walkway shared with our neighbors. There are 2 bedrooms - one with a queen bed & the other with two twin beds - which can accomodate a maximum of 4 people. It features a bathroom, galley kitchen & a dining area, but unfortunately, no living room (see picture for layout). Our home comes well-equipped with a stove, mini refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer as well as cooking & dining equipment. Guests will be supplied with 4 bath towels, body soap & shampoo. In addition, packets of instant coffee, tea & sugar will be in the kitchen for our visitors.

Both alleys are shared common areas between neighbors. Our neighbors & the utility companies (water, power & gas), have keys to each of the 5 gates surrounding the property. Please enter & exit along the east side of the building. For everyone's safety, kindly keep the gates locked at all times. No additional guests are allowed other than the disclosed number of guests at the time of booking. The registered guest will provide the full names of all guests & assumes all responsibility for the safety and actions of all occupants. We do not allow parties. Thank you for not smoking in or on the property. We keep our home clean and we expect our guests to do the same. The fee for any lost keys is $300.

Interaction with guests will depend on the host's schedule & availability. We may not be available but will certainly make the effort to accommodate our guests.

The home is located along a busy commercial street & is lined with lots of restaurants. Trendy Abbot Kinney with its restaurants, bars & shops is only a 15 minute walk. At the end of the boulevard is Venice Beach Pier. A bike path connects the beach cities - north to Santa Monica & Pacific Palisades as well as south to El Segundo, Manhattan/Hermosa/Redondo Beach.

To get around, most people rent a car or use ride-share companies.

The office in unit A is generally open by appointment only. Guests will hear the garage door open & close during the day. All windows are double pane with screens. As in any big city, street and traffic noise can be heard, even through double-pane glass windows. Please reference pictures for street parking information in the neighborhood.
We do not allow parties or smoking in our home. Guests may smoke outside of the security gates. Please be advised that the apartment is not infant/toddler/child proof. No other people are allowed at the property other than the number of guests disclosed at the time of booking. Kindly provide the full names of all guests for the approved reservation. The registered guest assumes all responsibility for the safety and actions of all occupants. The fee for any lost key is $300.

Great place to stay, very good location - 15 min walk to the beach, to the Marina or to Abbot Kinney (very cool place with shops and great food) Ideal for our girlie trip - our one improvement would be more mirrors! Otherwise very spacious, quiet and safe. Would recommend :-)

Micheal and Marica are super friendly. The house is comfortable, clean and well located. Plenty of parking in the street, the neighbourhood feels safe.

Michael's place is great! The location is amazing and the place was very clean when we arrived. We appreciated the space they gave me and my colleagues, but we were also comfortable knowing if we needed anything they would be readily available to assist. If you find yourself needing a place to stay in Venice, CA then look no further! I had a wonderful time :D
