Description

Le logement

Everything about Chez Rosette has been designed for your comfort. I thought about what was important to me when I travel, and that's what I have created here.
Number one priority: a comfortable mattress, cotton sheets and good pillows. (We have several pillows to choose from.) It's important to get a good night's sleep. The neighborhood is quiet, albeit still urban.
If there are more than 2 guests, I have an air mattress or bedding for the couch as sleep options. The sleeping loft is open, so it's not private. The ladder is easy to navigate but could be a challenge for older people and because of insurance, no children under 8.
The bathroom has both tub and shower - sometimes, you just want to take a relaxing tub.
There is plenty of daylight, but the shades and curtains make it dark in case you want to sleep in.
The couches are comfy. There are books to read, Roku for the TV, and the table is large for eating, playing games, spreading out, working on your computer or drawing.
The kitchenette is small and everything is easy to use. The induction stove gets pulled out and plugged in if you want to cook. There is also a microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle and French Press coffee makers for basic daily needs.

Accès des voyageurs

The Alameda neighborhood is beautiful, accessible to all areas via car, bus or MAX, quiet yet city-like with Beaumont Market 2 blocks away, Pizzicato, Jim & Patty's Coffee, Bagel Land, Grand Central Bakery and Small Wares, a Portland stand out restaurant. There is also the local hangout McPeets for a beer, BlackBird Wine and Atomic Cheese, Daruma Sushi, Jim & Patty's, Grand Central Bakery, Batter, Starbuck's, NoHo Hawaiian, Cha Cha Cha Mexican and Hoda's Middle Eastern all within 5 minutes walking distance.
I have a German Shepherd named Stella who is around. She is a great watch dog, but also very friendly.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

I live in the main house and am usually here. The washer and dryer are available, as is anything else you may need. I know Portland very well, so if there's anything you want to know - I can usually help!
If I am not here, someone else will be available to help.

Le quartier

Beaumont Wilshire is a lovely, residential neighborhood with great shopping, restaurants, bars, parks and Beaumont Market, which is open til midnight.

Transports

Located 2 blocks to the bus to the Hollywood MAX Station, or a 15 min walk to MAX. Across the street to the bus down Fremont.
Ample street parking in front of the house.
Easy access to all major highways for day trips to the Gorge, Coast or anywhere around.

Autres remarques

There is ample street parking right in front of the main house.
Checking in late is not a problem.
The gate can be a little bit finicky so be sure it's latched when you leave. If you're not sure about garbage and recycling, please ask!

Rose's tiny house was a relief to stumble upon (to say the least). After a not so great initial experience checking into a different air bnb, we were pressed for time to find a new rental and are so grateful to have found this place! It's impeccably decorated with tons of space, well stocked and incredibly clean. The property itself is great, a welcoming neighborhood and close to plenty of shops and restaurants. We had the pleasure in meeting Rose and her dog Stella while on our way back in one night, but if you're looking for privacy and seclusion, you would never know she's there otherwise. All in all, this was one of the best Airbnb experienced we've had so far and would happily stay here again.

Staying at Chez Rosette was perfect. It's in a great location close to restaurants and coffee, but still quiet and peaceful. I was traveling for business and appreciated having a desk to work on and fast wifi. Check in and check out were easy. Rose's dog is also super cute. Looking forward to staying here again!

Check Rosette is exactly as shown in the photos - light and bright, while also private and quiet. It's a great home base for all your Portland adventures.

This "tiny house" as advertised was the size of a generous hotel room but a lot more lovely. The pictures on the airbnb post are accurate in its portrayal of the tasteful and roomy decor. The place is quiet, yet located one block from a street that has all kinds of cool places to eat. Rose's place may be a challenge for those with mobility issues as the bed was on loft accessible by ladder. The shower is a claw foot tub and the walk from the light rail is around 15-20. But if this is not a concern, I recommend this place highly.

Rose was communicative, friendly and helpful. The place was extremely comfortable and cozy for our 3-day stay. The neighborhood is quiet and allowed us to get good rest (albeit not a far Uber from restaurants, etc.). I would definitely stay again!

This neighborhood in Portland is quiet and a bit off of the beaten track and provides great amenities within walking distance. The space is great to work in, the kitchen functional and the yard a lovely combination of all things Portland. Stay and enjoy!
