Holly Cottage is great for both summer and winter holidays; an ideal base for all tastes and types of holiday: walking, water sports, bird watching, sightseeing, quiet 'get away from the busy life', romantic and many more.

The three bedrooms, master, twin room and a bunk room all located on the first floor.

The Master bedroom is a light room with dual aspect windows, with views over St Brides Bay to the front, garden and fields to the side. It has a double bed, antique pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and monk’s bench (robes are available upon request!).

The twin room has views over the garden and open fields to the rear, two single beds, antique pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and airing cupboard with immersion heater.

The third bedroom has views over the garden and open fields to rear, bunk beds, chair and bedside table.

On the ground floor is the open Plan Kitchen/Lounge, an attractive room with natural slate floor, two leather settees set around a fireplace with a solid multifuel stove, TV & CD/ DVD player. On the opposite side is the well equipped kitchen with a range of wall and base units in white, electric hob/cooker with extractor hood over, under counter dishwasher, washing machine, free standing stainless steel fridge/freezer, double ceramic sink, slate splash back and solid beech work tops and free standing table.

Glazed double doors lead to the Sun Room which has a natural slate floor, Velux skylight, glazed double doors and ceiling height sealed glazed units on two sides over looking the garden. Three armchairs, a 'coffee table', floor and wall lighting and pine table to seat six make this the perfect room to relax in.

From the kitchen/lounge is a single door leading into the hall with doors and stairs off to the bathroom with natural slate floor, w/c, separate shower, walls part tiled with mosaic and limestone tiles, hand basin, bath with over shower mixer taps and vertical towel rail.

There is under stairs storage for shoes and coats. The stairs lead to the landing with a chest of drawers and views of St. Brides Bay.

Où se situe le logement

Little Haven, Pembrokeshire, Royaume-Uni

Little Haven nestles in a quiet cove in the southern corner of St. Brides Bay in Pembrokeshire and is undoubtedly one of the most delightful seaside villages in Wales. There are three pubs in Little Haven, The Saint Brides Inn by the car park, The Castle on the sea front and The Swan on the path heading to The Point. They all provide food. A small seafront café and a bistro are also available.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has designated Little Haven as a conservation area.

The settlement dates back to the iron-age and was once a base for sea trading and smuggling. Nowadays the safe, sandy beach is well used by inshore fishermen, dinghy sailors, windsurfers and families carrying buckets and spades. When the tide is out, there are clean sands to play on, rocks to clamber over, and a stream to splash in as well as the sea – just what young children want.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path passes right through the heart of the village. The path to The Point is pushchair or wheelchair friendly and provides a good viewpoint. There is a small beach on the south side of The Point called ‘The Sheep Wash'. It was used by local farmers, 50 years ago, for washing sheep before shearing.

The Coast Path in either direction provides good walking without too many gradients. Heading south, a moderate walk takes you to the pretty little cove at St Brides Haven.

Heading north takes you to Druidston Haven, then on to Nolton Haven and Newgale. This is a tamer part of The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park but spectacular nonetheless.

Broad Haven is a larger village with a grocery shop, pubs, café/bar, restaurant and freshly cooked fish & chips to order. For something more energetic, visit Haven Sports and hire yourself some wetsuits, kayaks, body/surf boards and take to the waves. If this all sounds too wet, enjoy a stroll on the numerous coastal paths all on the door step.
