Our charming 2/2 home with heated saline pool is a quiet retreat from a day spent exploring beautiful St. Augustine! Located in historic Abbott Tract set along the bay and just blocks from the famed Castillo de San Marcos (the Fort). Best of all you can park the car and forget about it!
This 1400+ square foot 2 bedroom/2 bathroom home has everything you need for a great Saint Augustine stay. The homes design includes modern appliances and thoughtful touches throughout including stained glass doors, hardwood floors, granite countertops and shuttered windows. And although the Cottage can be rented if you need extra space we only book 1 guest at a time so you never have to share the pool, grounds, parking etc.
Location: The home is situated in a wonderful walkable neighborhood between the famed Fort at Castillo De San Marcos and the Mission De Nombres just minutes from historical downtown St. Augustine.
Layout: The first floor has an open floor plan overlooking the heated saline pool with LR, Full Kitchen and dining room space for 6-8. The Living Room has a wall hung flat screen TV. The Kitchen has full size refrigerator and stove, DW, microwave, coffeemaker and garbage disposal.
Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms separated by a hallway, laundry area and Jack and Jill bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a Queen Size bed, French doors to the upper porch, sitting area and a large closet. Bedroom 2 has 2 comfy twin beds (or we can combine to make a King), large closet and antique french doors leading to a small balcony. The Jack and Jill bathroom is located between the bedrooms so each bedroom has direct access to a sink/toilet and a shared tub/shower with glass doors. So you have 2 sinks, 2 toilets and 1 shared tub/shower in all. Sliding and locking pocket doors between allow you to section off these spaces. A conveniently placed washer/dryer is also upstairs for your use.
Downstairs you have direct access to two outside areas. You can lounge poolside or in the pretty little garden patio. Both provide plenty of seating. The garden patio has a fire pit and a gas grill for your use.
The main house is also connected to a cottage via a glassed in breezeway but is completely separate and closed off by 2 sets locking doors. As stated the Cottage can be rented if additional space is needed but remember we only book 1 guest at a time so you never have to share the pool, grounds, parking etc. Parking is on property and will accommodate 3 normal sized vehicles.

While we prefer to give guests all of the privacy and space they desire if you need anything at all we have a local team including caretaker on hand and we are only a text or phone call away! Before you check in you will receive a detailed email about staying in the property and visiting St. Augustine. It has all of our favorites places and tips for a great stay.
No events, gatherings, visitors, pets (unless approved by owner), smoking, parties, disruptions or other disregard of lease terms can occur or terms of rental are void and immediate eviction will be enforced. Persons other than those specified in the booking are not allowed in/on the property unless approved by us in advance. If you would like to have a visitor please coordinate with us in advance. Please let us know who, when and for how long you expect your guest. Parking will also need to be coordinated as we have limited space.
The pool is not heated during February to avoid damaging the heater.
We have an automated system for maintaining the temperature in the property. The lowest cool setting is 72 and the highest heat setting is 70. You may adjust the air in between those settings but the system will reset automatically if you go below or above. There are ceiling fans in every room of the property but we ask that you turn them off when leaving the house for extended periods. If you need a different temperature setting please let me know. Also-please turn off air if you are leaving doors/windows open.
External security cameras in use. This is for your protection and protection of the property. Video recordings occur incrementally. Video are routinely deleted by the system and would only be shared with law enforcement as needed.
This property is licensed with the City of St. Augustine, St. Johns County and state of Florida for vacation rentals. Lodging is subject to state/county taxes (currently 10.5%).
Pets must be approved by us in advance. We only allow small mature dogs. Certain breeds are excluded (per house insurance policy). If approved we have a pet fee of $50 per stay.
Our home is for LODGING ONLY. There can be no parties, events or gatherings at the property per St. Augustine City Ordinance. Do not book for weddings, dinners, functions, photo shoots, etc. Be nice to our things:) Please don't sit on the furniture with wet clothes (from the pool). We provide hooks outside or in tub area for hanging wet suits. Please turn propane tank off after grilling. Be courteous to our neighbors. CRITICAL-keep the pool gate closed at all times. You are using the pool at your own risk. Turn off air if leaving windows/doors open. Don't alter the pool heater setting. It's set at 84 which is warmer than most hotels. Please do not smoke on property. Have a good time!
