A few house rules or guidelines, so you can enjoy your stay and I can relax knowing you are abiding by them :)

•Please do not smoke.
•Please lock the top lock each time you leave and quietly close the door and Please don't let it slam so not to disturb my neighbors.
•Please leave everything as you found it. Please clean a refrigerator completely when you check out.
•It is okay to move stuff around, but when you leave, please put stuff back where it was.
•Please be sure to do the dishes promptly (don’t leave them in the sink for more than a night) so we can avoid bugs and smell.
•There are regular plastic bags under the sink to put inside the small bin. I generally place my recycling next to the trash in the house before I take it out.
•If the garbage bags fill up please take it downstairs. All the garbage bins are on the ground floor including a separate recycling bin.
•Feel free to use the A/C as a fan, but please turn it off whenever you leave the house.
•Feel free to read whatever you like (just don’t take it with you).
•Don’t get locked out (and don’t forget to leave the key in the apartment when you leave for the last time! - Push the lock on the door so it closes without the key)
- Please no party. We don't want to bother our quiet neighbors.
- There is NO access to the mailbox, please do not give address out for personal mail or packages.

I was running late for my 10am check in, Erick patiently waited for me to arrive even though I was late. The flat was small and compact, but it had all the necessitities I needed for a comfortable experience.

This place is great! It is exactly as described and Erick was extremely helpful with any queries we had during our stay! I would certainly stay at this place again if I visited New York City.

Erick's apartment although small, was much nicer than the photos depicted. It is perfect for a couple or two very close friends. I found it to be in a very convienient location between the L and G train. It was very simple to go over to Williamsburg/Brooklyn as well as uptown. The area itself is a bit of a mixed bag, though there are some really nice bars close by. The two deli's and the 99c pizza shop directly downstairs was great for nights I didn't want to spend much money. I didn't meet Erick myself, I was let into the apartment by his wife who was super lovely. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Sehr geil.

We had an awesome time in NYC and the apartment treated us well. Erick was a great and helpful host. We will definitely stay here again if it's available our next visit. We visit NYC every year for long periods and this was one of the best apartments we've ever stayed in.

Eric & Chie were very friendly and helpful hosts. They were very accessible during our trip and gave very helpful suggestions and tips. The apartment is very cute and conveniently located in terms of public transport, but also walkable to most major east and west village points. The apartment, perhaps, because of the climate does tend to get quite dusty and requires frequent upkeep. We did not find safety to be a concern at all, the building is quite secure except that it is a 5 storey walkup but that's probably quite typical of lower side Manhattan, and something Eric let us know beforehand.

I work in technology as an IT consultant these days in the NYC area. My wife works in the Publishing industry, as a Senior Designer. I love riding my bike in the East/West Village or walking from client to client through out NYC. I also DJ alternative/punk/goth music in the east village.
