Cozy and comfortable 1 bedroom apartment, with access to a beautiful outdoor patio and off-street parking. Quick access to some of the best neighborhoods in DC: Shaw, Bloomingdale, Brookland, Takoma, Petworth, and two great breweries. Perfect and affordable for a getaway to the nation's capital!
The Jefferson Suite is an English Basement style, separate apartment of the hosts' 1937 brick bungalow. Quickly feel like home with a well-appointed kitchenette, washer and dryer, and separate entrance. Plenty of space for clothing and belongings, full bed, living room with queen sized sofa, and recently renovated full bath.
Accès des voyageurs
Fenced in patio, parking, your own separate entrance, kitchen, laundry, and all the home necessities. DC's metro system is a 10-12 minute walk to the Red, Yellow and Green lines. Major bus routes are a block away. Uber, Car2Go, Lyft, etc. are all available in DC. No cable TV, but our available Roku streaming service (with Hulu and Netflix) makes that obsolete anyways!
Échanges avec les voyageurs
As little or as often as needed!
The hosts live on the upper floor in the main house and are available for any needed guidance or help settling in. We prefer to meet guests upon arrival to provide them with keys. If the hosts are unavailable, alternate plans to retrieve the keys and access the apartment will be made. When not at work, the hosts are typically found laboring in the home's gardens or on the front porch, enjoying a fresh craft beer from local and nearby breweries.
Please note there is an indoor stairwell that leads to the upstairs that remains locked at all times, but otherwise it is a completely separate unit.
The apartment's bedroom and living room are newly carpeted and we ask that visitors please leave their shoes on the rack in the tiled kitchen area.
Our home is in a residential neighborhood. It is expected that guests will treat the neighborhood with respect, including keeping noise levels down at late hours.
My husband and I have lived in Washington, DC for about 7 years now, where I'm a digital marketer for a publication at a membership association. We've also lived in Kentucky, Brooklyn, and call Vermont home.
We love exploring cities, and being able to rent with airbnb is a huge bonus to traveling. I first used it with my family in Paris, forever ago now, and you really feel like you're a part of the place you're visiting.
As a renter, I don't require much, and am very respectful of people's space. I'm clean, quiet, and treat their homes as my own! On that note, we also just listed our DC home for rent, and are excited to host travelers ourselves! We hope we've made our apartment an inviting and comfortable place to say as people get to know our city.
