We didn't really get to meet them. They left before we had the chance. They made up an excuse to stay somewhere else and never gave us a straight answer.
Due to the last minute nature of their booking, our cancellation policy and the busy time of year, a refund was not possible. When AirBnB was contacted about the matter, they also agreed with our refund policy.
Even though we thoroughly cleaned and prepped the space for their arrival, they described our place as "pungent." When asked what the smell was and how we could fix it, they insulted us by saying, "maybe you're just used to it, because you live there". They did not wait for us to get home, they just left.
Upon arriving home from work, there was no foul smell. We even got a second opinion from the neighbor.
Defusers are commonly used for aroma therapy, that does not mean we would otherwise require it to cover up any "pungent" smalls in our home. All of our guests before and since then have never had a complaint, especially about any "pungency".
