While Alejando's place is beautiful, and the caretaker Beatriz was very responsive (we communicated with her through all our difficulties), our stay was disappointing. With a little bit of foresight and planning by the host, this could have been prevented. First, when we arrived the generator was broken so there was no power, therefore no running water, so with the help of Alejandro (via ) and Beatriz we scrambled around for another place to go for the night. 4 hours later we moved all the firewood and our stuff to the other house, which was very nice, had power, hot water, but was not ideal as it was very cold in the winter despite the fireplace. Alejandro worked to get the generator fixed and so requested the next day we move back, which we were glad to do because we were cold at the other house. We arrived for a beautiful sunset in an incredible location, but soon discovered 1) the water heater was unplugged, which meant no hot water in the coldest days of wintertime for showers, 2) the house did not have heating as advertised on the AirBnB amenities and in the description ("fireplace and heating system for winter visitors... there IS heating but I was told by the owner that you can't use it because it would overload the generator), 3) one of the 4 bedrooms was full of things and used as a storage space, so unusable as a bedroom, so one of the 4 couples had to sleep on the sofa downstairs, and 4) It did not have internet / wifi as advertised. When we talked to Beatriz to help us fix it, she was unable, and perhaps the bill was not paid so the service was cut off. This was a real problem for 2 of our guests who had to work the Monday we stayed and were unable to do so. So, all in all, while the house is beautiful and the area is incredible, we were chose this place based on our needs (hot water, heat, 4 bedrooms, wifi) and this place had none of them while we where there.
