Our annexe was originally designed as a farm office but it was far too beautiful so we decided to share it with guests!Overlooking gardens and fields, with its attic styled ceiling enjoy a truly relaxing stay in a traditional farmhouse setting complete with a traditional farmhouse breakfast,of course.
Situated in the heart of Northamptonshire, we are ideally located for numerous countryside walks including the Nene Way. Pastures Farm is situated on the edge of the fabulous historic Castle Ashby Estate with its small rural shopping yard containing a selection of delightful independent shops. In addition, the historic church of Earls Barton is just a mile away, and across the fields there is Grendon Lakes with its abundance of waterbased activities. There is one firendly village pub, however there is a good selection of eateries within a short drive.
Pastures Farm is a busy working farm. Part of the farm was recently designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The 27 acre area consists of a reedbed and wetland and is the home to many unusual species of birds. A twenty minute circular walk has been created to enable visitors to enjoy all the beauty associated with this particular SSSI.
Guests to Pastures Farm are encouraged to enjoy the gardens and soak up the countryside. We have two friendly dogs, Hattie a black Labrador and Dizzy a rather nutty terrier. We also have two friendly Greyface Dartmoor sheep grazing in the paddock at the back of the house, this particular breed are well known for their amazingly thick curly fleeces and are well worth peering at over the fence!
Being a farmhouse, breakfast is served in our spacious farm house kitchen, allowing guests to get a flavour of what our day to day lives are all about.
We look forward to welcoming you!

There is as much or as little interaction with guests as desired. Although we are a very friendly bunch here.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets.
Its a bit of a weird one having to describe yourself, It says on the air bnb instructions to say what I like, list five things I can't live without and share my favourite travel destinations, books, movies, shows, music, food etc. So here goes!
Well firstly John and I have been married for 32 years and have lived at the farm all that time, we have three great sons Sam ,Ben and Joe. Boom Boom!
So what do we like?
Well we love to entertain, socialise, trying new recipes and eating out as well as experiencing new things and of course meeting new people. Both of us enjoy being outdoors, and I thoroughly enjoy gardening, at the moment we are trying to master growing vegetables. One of my gretest pleasures is walking, and have successfully scaled the three highest peaks int he UK - not in twenty four hours though but in three years! We like to travel abroad as well as do the tourist thing over here.
We genuinely enjoy welcoming guests to our home, John likes it as it gives him the opportunity to try out his gags,(oh dear) and me (I know this sounds cheesy) the opportunity to make people's stay a memorable one.
The final thing it says on Air bnb is do we have a motto? - not really but if we had to have one it would probably be either Dont put off until tomorrow what you can do today! Just do it! or Treat others like you would like to be treated.(A bit more cheese)
