Le logement
Brunel Boathouse is set up with all the necessities as well as a lovely view. The settee is in front of the large double doors overlooking the river. On a warm evening the doors can be opened to take in the view and you can step out onto the spacious balcony to watch the yachts go by. There is a TV with free-view plus good wifi. Fully equipped kitchen area with an electric hob, oven, microwave and small fridge/freezer. If you need something specific just ask. A comfy good size double bed with quality linen and duvet is up a set of stairs on the second floor. The separate bathroom contains a shower, sink and toilet. Off road parking included. There is central heating and plenty of hot water. This fabulous cosy apartment is ideal for 2 adults but could accommodate children up to the age of 12. We can supply up to 2 camp beds with prior notice. Well behaved pets are also welcome but we do request that they are not left alone in the apartment during your stay. This property is perfectly situated on the Devon/Cornwall border and is perfect for a peaceful stay to explore the beauty of the 2 counties. Plymouth City Centre, the Hoe and the Barbican are only a bus ride (bus stops close by) or 15min drive plus a neighbouring mainline rail station.

Parking is located directly by the property and none of the space is shared plus you will have no adjacent neighbours as this is a detached property. If available please park in front of the wall if there is a space. If full, feel free to park in front of the black gates however please leave access to the double garage as it is in constant use. You have full use of the 2 storey apartment and there is a large balcony for your use with seating. Autres remarques
Fabulous accommodation with wonderful views situated by the World famous Isambard Kingdom Brunel railway bridge. You can hear the rumble of the trains however there is a 10mph speed limit and they do not run throughout the night. Although there are pubs and restaurants within walking distance, the nearest convenience store is approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk. Supermarkets are a short drive.
If walking at night, please be advised that the pavements are limited in the area and we would recommend using a torch for your safety.

Plymouth, Angleterre, Royaume-Uni

Everyday is a holiday in Saltash Passage. Beautiful area with spectacular views of the river.
Plymouth has gems other cities only dream about – the spectacular natural harbour of Plymouth Sound, unspoiled rivers and moorland on our boundaries and nearby sandy beaches, not to mention world class theatre, top night clubs, great food, a wonderful waterfront and a great lifestyle. We want everyone to get the most out of their time here.
Nearby is the Ferry House Inn, comfortable and traditional river side Free House. Offering beautiful views of the Tamar River and Cornwall, with sunny outdoor seating in the summer, and offering comfortable leather seating with two real log fires in the winter. Delicious meals are made with locally sourced ingredients and are prepared the way wholesome meals should be.
'Just Be' wine bar is a short stroll across the bridge but is well worth a visit. One of my favourites whether it is a good breakfast, fantastic dinner, great coffee or amazing wine all in a quirky and friendly atmosphere. The owners are not only wine buffs but seem to be gin experts also. What's not to love at this place.
Stand on the World-famous Plymouth Hoe Promenade for a beautiful scenic view. The word "Hoe" being derived from old English and appropriately meaning "high ground".
Popular legend has it that it was here, on 20th July 1588, that the Elizabethan Sea-Captain Sir Francis Drake was playing bowls when first news of sightings of the invading "Spanish Armada" was brought to him. Thereupon Drake ostensibly signified his wish merely to continue his game of bowls undisturbed, a cool reaction fabled as an act of English heroism. In reality, however, Drake and his fellow captains probably knew full well that the wind and tide conditions at that particular moment precluded the English Fleet from putting to sea immediately from Plymouth!
True or not, a substantial statue commemorating Drake and his circumnavigation of the Globe stands overlooking the Hoe, whilst the corridor of landscaped greensward behind sweeps down the the heart of the modern city where, it continues the association with Drake - as "Armada Way".
PLYMOUTH HAS BEEN SELECTED AS No3 IN THE TOP 10 WORLD TRAVEL DESTINATION 2020 - 3. Plymouth, UK - British seaside with a whole lot of heritage.
The waterfront city of Plymouth has long sailed under the radar. The arrival of restaurants from high-profile chefs such as Mitch Tonks and Marco Pierre White, as well as a multi-million pound waterfront regeneration project, mean this once-tired seaside city is beginning to look ship-shape again.
In the old port you’ll find pretty Elizabethan gardens, contemporary art galleries and waterfront cafés spilling out across the cobbles (Plymouth has the largest concentration of cobbled streets in Britain). There’s history in these harbours, and 2020 marks a landmark year for Plymouth which, for centuries has had its fortunes shaped by the sea. On 16 September 1620 the square-rigged Mayflower set sail from Plymouth on its voyage to the New World (or as we now know it, the United States of America) in search of a life of religious freedom. More than 30 million US citizens – including several US presidents, reams of writers and poets and celebrities including Clint Eastwood, Marilyn Monroe and Hugh Hefner – can trace their roots back to one of the 102 passengers and 30 crew who made the epic journey.
Plymouth is marking the 400-year anniversary with a programme of more than 100l events, including a festival of light-based art installations scattered across the city, and This Land, a theatre production performed by Plymouth locals and members of the Native American Wampanoag tribe. Another big cultural happening for 2020 will be the opening of The Box, a cultural attraction on a grand scale, developed on the site of the former Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery. The new building will house Plymouth's most important heritage collections on one site, including archive TV and film footage, vintage photography and art both historical and contemporary. Plymouth’s ancient quays are getting their buzz back.
MAYFLOWER 400 during 2020 (Postponed but not cancelled). Over 400 moments to mark 400 years of the sailing of the Mayflower from Plymouth sees a packed calendar with city-wide events and exhibitions ranging from Art, Music and theatre to many festivals.
Illuminate, the spectacular light festival will launch the Mayflower 400 anniversary year from the city's historic waterfront this November 2019.

“Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations and providing a deep clean between each reservation.” I am passionate about hosting our properties on Airbnb and take pride to ensure that all our guests have an enjoyable stay. I am married and my husband and I both enjoy travelling, visiting within the UK and world wide. Some of my interests include kayaking and cycling (bit of a cheat though as I do turn on the motor for the hills leaving my husband far in the distance lol). I try to keep active but also enjoy the Theatre and spending social time with my family and friends. I have seen my fair share of hotels and Airbnb houses on my travels. As a host, I can’t wait to show fellow travellers the same great hospitality that I have had across the globe. My properties are situated on the Devon/Cornwall border and you will have the entire place to yourself. There is a lot to do and as I live nearby, I would be happy to meet with you (at a socially acceptable distance of course) to discuss if that’s something you would like. Please take time to read my guidebook which shows a lot of varied activities in easy reach plus local restaurants, bars etc. Whilst River View and Sunset Place offer a great place to stay for holiday makers, they are also fabulous properties for Professional stays and within easy reach for the University, Marjons, Raleigh and HMS Drake.
