Butte in a town rich in mining history. The mansion is located on the west side of town, 4 blocks from the University of Montana-Tech and 5 blocks from the St. James Hospital. During the summer, there are many free events Uptown including the Montana Folk Festival, Evel Knievel Days, An Ri Ra, and the Original Festival. These festivals are within walking distance from the mansion and weather in the summer usually makes participating in these festivals pleasant.
