Le logement

This unit is the largest in the Eden Sands complex, with breathtaking sea views. If you’re not on the beach you'll be relaxing in the space and comfort that 98 Eden Sands has to offer. The ocean facing apartment is situated on the ground floor (wheelchair accessible) and the pool area is enclosed which makes it safe for children to play outside.

The unit has been equipped to cater for 4 persons and consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, dining room and covered patio and outdoor barbecue area (Weber also provided). The main bedroom offers a queen sized bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms are equipped with ample clean bedding (and a hairdryer). All the rooms have ceiling fans to ensure a good night’s rest on those hot summer nights. This luxury unit has an oven/hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer and more than enough cutlery and crockery for preparation of meals. The lounge is equipped with Flat screen TV and Satellite viewing (CABLE) Enjoy cocktails or breakfast on the covered patio overlooking the beautiful ocean while the kids play in the pool.

Le quartier

Lying between Warner Beach and Illovo, the little seaside town of Winklespruit, just south of Amanzimtoti is typical of so many little seaside villages along this stretch of coast - lined with lush sub-tropical vegetation and home to a sandy beach that stretches for miles. It lies at the Illovo River mouth and earn its rather strange name from the Afrikaans word 'winkel' or 'shop' when sailors set up a store here on the river bank to sell any damaged goods from the schooner Tonga that was shipwrecked here in 1875. The name stuck.

Rated as one of the top 10 dive spots in the world, but regular divers say it is second only to the rocky ride over breakers to get there, the marine life of Aliwal Sshoal is said to be spectacular. Transports

Multiple Airport Shuttles and Car Rental companies are available from the airport. The Unit is also within walking distance to the local Spar and Pick n Pay strip-mall. Galleria shopping mall is within within 10 min drive. Covered Parking is provided for each Unit at Eden Sands.

Autres remarques

The complex is very safe and is situated behind electronic gates which is activated via remote for tenants only. A supervisor is on duty during weekdays. In addition a night watchman patrols the property at night. PLEASE NOTE: Eden Sands is a holiday complex owned by individual owners. It is structurally designed with adjoining balconies and therefore privacy may be compromised in the communal areas during PEAK SEASON. Children play and adults socialize there is thus a risk that noise could easily infringe on individuals during high season. During low season the complex is extremely quiet and private. Throughout South Africa, Electricity load shedding is common and may occur daily or weekly for short periods of time. Standby LED lights are installed.

EDEN SANDS RULES OF CONDUCT
Tenants should at all times show tolerance and consideration for other tenants in their behavior.
Flat keys may only be collected during office hours unless special prior arrangements have been made.
Tenants must clean and tidy flats before they leave.
Cleaning staff only clean floors and bathrooms. They do not do personal laundry.
For Security reasons no casual labour must be employed without prior clearance from the Supervisor's office.
Except during peak holiday seasons Spring cleaning may be done by prior arrangement.
The Eden Sands Body Corporate will NOT be responsible for the theft or loss of any property.
“Braaing" is prohibited on balconies and verandahs.
In order to prevent blockages to the drains and sewerage system, tenants must wash off beach sand at the outside showers provided for the purpose. Sand must not be washed off in bathrooms or in the swimming pool.
Playing or walking on the rockeries and embankments is forbidden.
Planting flowers, shrubs or trees without permission from the Garden Committee is not allowed. Likewise removing, damaging or picking flowers, shrubs or trees is also not allowed.
Washing lines are provided in the complex and wet towels and laundry must not be hung from balconies or out of windows. Clothes horses may be used provided they are kept out of sight.
While there is no prohibition against games being played in the complex, care must be taken not to compromise the safety of other tenants and damage to property is not allowed.
NO PETS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COMPLEX. (Note this includes birds and reptiles).
Tenants must not feed the cats and monkeys.
Attention is drawn to the Swimming Pool Rules. Parents will be responsible for ensuring that their children are aware of, and adhere to, these Rules.
Caravans and Boats are not permitted on the property.
Motorcycles,Quad bikes or noisy vehicles are not permitted on the property.
The speed limit on the property is 5 k.p.h. Drivers must beware of children playing.
Cars may not be washed with the Fire or Garden Hoses.

No more than 6 people are allowed in the Double Bedroom Flats Cabanas. No more than 4 people are allowed in Cabanas. (Note Children over 5 are counted as ‘people' for this purpose.

While skateboarding and roller skating is permitted, parents are expected to supervise their children and bear responsibility for any damage they may cause
Fireworks are totally forbidden.
The letting of flats will be done in accordance with the Rules and the Right of Admission is Reserved. Eden Sands Trustees and employees will have no involvement in letting of flats and the Complex Office will not be used for this type of business.
Before any alterations are undertaken on an Eden Sands flat, whether inside or out, a detailed description of the work must be submitted to the Building Committee for their written approval.
Continuous non adherence to these Rules may result in those responsible being evicted from the property. In the event that this happens, any eviction costs will be charged to that specific Owner's account.
Should any costs for damage arise from non compliance with these Rules, they too will be charged to the Owner's account.

Very nice place to stay. Stunning view at the south coast. House is also well furnished. But a little far away from airport, about 50 minutes drive.

Wir waren im Februar 2015 14 Tage in dem Appartement und haben uns gut erholt. Die Beschreibung des Objekts stimmt. Bei Anreise mit Navi ist es hilfreich zu wissen, dass die Anlage Eden Sands heißt! In der Zeit als wir dort waren, fiel allerdings fast jeden Tag für mehrere Stunden der Strom aus.

We spent just on a week at the unit, between christmas and new years. The unit itself is great, nice, clean and spacious - and is one of the biggest units in the complex. It is tastefully furnished (bathrooms a little dated - but they serve their purpose), and the fans in the bedroom make a big difference during the hot summer days and nights. Lynette is very responsive, and always available through airbnb when you need her. There is private access to the beach, and the beach is nice and clean and quite. To get to the nearest swimming beach is a bit of a walk, but still doable. The only negative about this unit is the setup of the patio and communal area. There is no segregation between outdoor patios across the units, and it ends up being very noisy with no privacy the minute you step outside. The neighbours will walk across the patio while you are sitting on it, and talk across your conversation to each other. We were also informed by the chairman of the body corporate on numerous occasions during our stay that "thats just how it is, so we must accept it" If you are into communal living the unit is great, however if you are looking for a quiet holiday with privacy I would not recommend this unit during peak seasons at all. I am sure during the off season it would be much better though.
