We had a delightful stay at James and Paula's lovely cottage. The location is quite picturesque and rural, but within a 10 minute drive of amenities in Wotton-under-Edge where there's a small Tesco, Co-Op, bakeries, health food shop, pubs and restaurants. The cottage was exactly as described and had everything we needed to self-cater easily and was very comfy. The wood burning stove heats the property and it felt fun and rustic (to us city dwellers) keeping it fuelled with the abundance of wood provided. We needed to work whilst staying and our only challenge was the lack of phone signal (on O2) and the wifi is quite choppy/sporadic. However, if we were coming on a break, this would actually have added to our trip by forcing us to stay disconnected more. In any case we'll be back for a long weekend soon. Paula was very responsive to communications and came to greet us personally on the morning after we arrived. Her and James live in the cottage next door, so are close by should you need anything (although we didn't bother them as we were perfectly happy in the cottage). I would highly recommend staying here.
