The host canceled this reservation 28 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

The flat was perfect as well as the location. The neighborhood was very convenient. All around a grate experience.

Great stay at Ryan's place! He was out of town, so his friend Keith oversaw our check-in and stay. The location was excellent, and the price was reasonable. Keith was easy to get a hold of and willing to help us out with any little thing. The one downside to the apartment is that the cooling unit can't seem to cool down anything but the living room, leaving the bedroom a little warm. Aside from that though, I would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment in a great area. Was exactly what we needed for a nice long weekend in the city.

A wonderful space in Edgewater, a short walk to the historic Bryn Mawr area, with some great old houses lining nearby streets (and a handy Starbuck's, a few restaurants, grocery and drug stores nearby), just a block and a half off the El stop. A quick 5 minute walk takes you into the heart of Andersonville with many dining, shopping and drinking options...and since you are so close to the train, you can get anywhere you want fairly quickly. Going the other way, you're just four or five blocks from the water and a nice beach area as well as the top of Lincoln Park which offers you hours of walking if that's your thing. The place itself is in an older, historic building. That means you have stairs, wood floors, heavy doors and the like (if you want shiny and new, you wouldn't be looking in this area anyway!). The unit is one flight of stairs up, easily manageable with luggage, and the building is very secure. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures. The rooms are on the smaller side, especially the bedroom -- but it is all extremely comfortable, and you really have everything there you need. There is a small kitchen with a coffee maker (the host thoughtfully provided coffee filters too!), a refrigerator and an oven, as well as ample glasses, plates, pots and pans. It was easy to walk to the grocery store and pick up coffee, cereal, fruit and such and have breakfast at home instead of heading to Starbucks everyday -- and the oven meant that leftover Giordano's deep dish pizza could easily be reheated! Yay! The host has provided everything you can reasonably need during your stay, the WiFi worked great and the building itself was generally quiet. Though close to the El line, I never heard a train, was never woken up by traffic and the window air conditioner was more than enough to take the sting out of the humid summer days I was there. For me this was a much better alternative to a hotel -- it was less money, but also gave me a chance to stay in a new neighborhood and explore. It's a short taxi anywhere in the city, and the El runs pretty regularly -- 15 minutes to Boystown, a half hour to the Loop and the museums down in that area. In short, I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone looking in the area!

Ryan was the perfect host. He provided me with whatever I required and was on call whenever I needed him. The apartment was great and was in a very good location, close to public transport and with many dining options in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Ryan was a very responsive and very gracious host. His place is beautifully designed with lots of natural light and the location is great (just 25 min by redline L to downtown Chicago). He even left us a lovely bottle of wine and a fresh package of Starbucks coffee beans upon arrival!

I am a Chicago-based personal trainer and nightclub promoter. I can definitely steer my guests in the right direction as far as recommendations for restaurants, nightlife, and other Windy City points of interest. I travel often throughout the year, and for the last 7 years, I've spent January and February in Asia with stops in Australia for Mardi Gras. Despite the fact that I love the decor, layout, and neighborhood of my apartment, it sits empty the majority of the time.
