Description

This fully renovated house is located within farmland, once the site of the Woolamai General Store. The house is equipped with a modern kitchen and elegant bathroom fitout with water from large fresh water tanks.Two large bedrooms look out at the surrounds, each room fitted with a TV and king size bed (one of which can be prepared as two single beds). Separate toilets, one with ensuite, are adjacent to the bedrooms. Substantial decking areas offer a relaxing place for morning coffee or an evening cocktail as the sun sets on the surrounding hills. Two generous lounge areas are furnished for relaxing, reading or just watching the box. All the facilities needed for a comfortable stay.

The Location

What was once the hamlet of Woolamai is located 5 minutes off the Bass Highway, 15 minutes from Phillip Island or the town of Wonthaggi. The house is a stone's throw from the Woolamai racecourse and on one of the many picturesque country roads of South Gippsland. The beaches at the mouth of the Powlett River and Kilcunda are a short trip across the hills.

The quiet location is just the place to unwind or base yourself for a visit to the surrounding attractions. A bike rail trail to Wonthaggi has recently been paved and it runs across the road from our property. It is a scenic and enjoyable ride, suitable for mountain bikes.

We are from Cape Woolamai on the south coast of Australia. We like to eat great food, interact with local folk, experience the culture of places and look at the buildings that comprise a great city. We have adult children so we can now go to the places we like and submerge ourselves. We love music and lots of walking around taking in our surrounds.
