I would like to apologize for my short comings as a host, but to clear things out to the public let me answer each cocern of my guest Chalmers for my Listing in
"AGOO, La UNION" located in the "PROVINCE" OF LA UNION:
1.Follow up on promises was poor - Every concern of the guest was relayed and address right away by my property manager according to my instructions and to the best of his ability and resources he had. Although there are instances/situation that my manager was not able to resolve a problem due to the fact that some problems that the guest stated arise late at night or no service provider can resolve the problem as of the moment as some of the concerns such as tv/cable tv concerns are fixed by appointment by the cable tv service provider(sky cable and cignal TV) as the house is located in the province,and yes we change the cable TV provider just to resolve the concern of our fellow guest not minding the cost as a host.
2.Wifi was poor and not installed and working as promised before I moved in - Before Chalmers came, we applied for a LAN internet connection as requested by the guest even if we are just using an internet broadband. And ofcourse every application is subject for approval depending if the provider can service the residence efficiently. As the internet service provider responded to the application, They said that the province of Agoo, La Union is undergoing an upgrade on its "fiber connection lines".And yes we are applying for fiber connection just to have a fast conection on our VACATION HOUSE.Take note its a vacation house, so if you are the airbnb host and you tried to get a fast connection on your vacation house/listing , you mean serious business . right ? Unfortunately the application is held for sometime due to the upgrade that is ongoing. The veracity of my statement regarding the fiber line upgrade in agoo La union can be validated to the intertenet service provider which is PLDT. So to meet somehow the request of our fellow guest, I personally purchase a "new prepaid internet broadband" to accomodate his request as he "only" needs it to pay bills according to him. But when the guest and his companions arrives it seems that the broadband speed and efficiency is not enough since there are 5 devices connected at the same time a. Not sure if some them streams video on youtube or what but if they did I'm sure the connection will go slow as video streaming will eat up the whole (Website hidden by Airbnb) to meet his demand again as a host I purchased " another bigger and faster prepaid broadband". After the 2nd broadband the complains with regards to the internet lessens. The next concern is why does the prepaid broadband needs to be reloaded every week? Its as simple as this, There are 3 prepaid internet package you can avail here in the Philippines, 1 is daily, 2 is weekly and 3 is monthly. Now our fellow guest here stayed for 20 days. So if you are the host and your guest will only stay for only 20 days which package will you get to cut some cost? I bet you'll get the weekly package. I beg to disagree on the part that Chalmers have to ask every week to reload the internet connection as I reload it myself weekly on a scheduled day before expiration.
3.The washing machine did not work - The washing machine was replaced right away and you know that Chalmers . Take note the washing machine that was replaced is working. Its just that the manager does not know how to operate it because its new. So my manager provided his own washing machine just to compensate.
4.Cleaning supplies were skimpy- Ofcourse as an airbnb host I have to provide "some" cleaning supplies, such as 2 Liters of all purpose cleaner, broom, mop, dish washing liquids and rags which I provided. i believe this is more than enough, but it seems that my guest wants abundant supplies for cleaning not considering my cost as the host.
5.other than having some laundry soap stolen- On a Airbnb listing, I believe laundry soap is not part of the essentials, correct me if I’m wrong.We already provided a washing machine and some laundry detergent and yet it’s still not enough. The demands of my guest are clearly beyond what an airbnb host can provide considering the cost .
6.The electric iron was new but worthless because of no adapter- the adapter was given right after the guest requested it from me .
7.The house is located on a main highway with constant traffic night and day. Large trucks, motorcycles and buses are continual noise and often shakes the house.- Yes the house is on the main highway. But when booking an airbnb listing I presume you already know that the house is located on a main highway. So if you think the location is not fit for you , why did you booked it in the first place ? I disagree on the part that my house shook everytime vehicles pass by , The house is newly constructed composed of solid blocks and cement , there is no way vibrations could penetrate the walls aside from the glass windows which is innevitable.
8.In order to purchase groceries you must get to town about 5 K away - There is a grocery about 2 km away . I told my guest that all he needs to do is to ask my property manager any time so that he can be directed to the exact location of the nearest grocery . But it seems that my guest here didn’t bother to ask but explored on his own.
I hope I clarified the half-truth review of my former guest Chalmers for my future guests. My guest Chalmers is a good guest but his demands are truly imeasurable. Rest assured me and my team will try our best to improve our listings to serve our guests . Thank you.
