As a super host for years with rave reviews, I found this review UNFAIR, UNTRUE, EXAGGERATED, and UNACCEPTABLE. Let me point them out one by one.
.Closet space – it’s a big walk-in closet in master bedroom and my clothes only take up 1/3. Also this is my home, you guys only stayed here for short period of time, does it NOT make sense to have a little of my stuff there?
.Toilet – You never mentioned the toilet issue until you fixed yourself and asked me to pay you for labor (Airbnb Inbox has all the messages and transaction record); if I knew about it, I would have handyman to come fix it for sure. Why didn’t you message me about it beforehand but now you are lying about the story?
.Wifi – I am quite sure my package is one of the most fastest. Don’t you know if all of you 5 college kids stream YouTube at the same time, even the fastest network can’t handle it? Don’t you know it also depends on how far you are from the router and the time of the day? Aren’t you engineering student?
.Bubbling noise in water heater – There is nothing wrong with water heater, only because the water is hard in this area, as time goes by the minerals in the water stay on the metal parts inside, when the hot water runs, it makes such noise. It’s not loud, not all the time. There is only temporary solution, which we did a long time ago, but the sound came back within a few weeks. It’s the water, you get it?!
.Oven – the truth is that Eric told me there was gas leak at first, I called a technician from Sears Home Services (Order Number: (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ), and I was there when the technician arrived and solved the issue. One of Eric’s female roommates was there too. I texted Eric about the repair afterwards. It was the technician who removed the foil. I keep the email and receipt from Sears and message with his roommate. Is it fun lying like this, Eric?
.Cooking ware – unless you have a big party over for food every day, the cooking ware should be enough, because we live here!
.AC - LMAO! There are portable ACs in the room and I even label them. My guests in the past never had any problem finding/using them, and you “smart” engineering student didn’t even recognize? Why didn’t you mention to me?
.“I communicated with Catherine mostly via text message, and she was pretty responsive to issues” – aren’t you contradicting with yourself in the review?
Btw, why didn’t you mention that you broke my 60” SmartTV? Also after you moved out, I hired a housekeeper to clean up your mess for $250 but still left a nice review, thinking I shouldn’t expect too high on cleanness of college students, and I understand you guys were very busy with internship. I don’t deserve this. Good luck!
