We are offering a sunny and private second floor bedroom in our charming farmhouse in southern Maine. Colorfully decorated with original art, photography and plants. Super cozy with an incredibly comfortable memory foam full size mattress.
Blackout and light filtering shades give you the option of managing your natural lighting preferences.
Wi-fi is available as well as magazines and books to peruse at your leisure. We also offer the convenience of a Britta Water server and tea and coffee are always available in the kitchen.
A hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and lotion are also available for guest convenience.

100% cotton towels and washcloths. The shared bath is located right outside your door as well as laundry facilities if you are renting for a longer stay. (4 days or longer) $5 charge for wash and dry for shorter stay guests. Sunny and cozy with skylights, views of the back gardens, field and woods and farm critters.
Maximum two guests. $10 cleaning fee is included in the reservation.
We are currently accepting only 2 night weekend reservations. If you are interested in just one night, please send us a message and we will see if we can accomodate you.
Shared kitchen is available for guest use with prior permission
27 acres of fields and woods as well as a flock of 12 laying hens, and 3 dogs and 1 cat who offer endless entertainment.
Easy access to lakes, Saco river and beaches. Hiking trails, wildlife preserves and mountains are all a short drive away. 20 mins. to Portland Airport. 25 mins to Amtrak and bus station and downtown Portland.
20 mins to Saco/Old Orchard Beach, Pine Point Beach and Ferry Beach.
Saco River is 2 miles away with great swimming and boating options.
Winter activities include show shoeing and x-country skiing areas with hundreds of acres of trails to enjoy. There are several downhill mountains, (Lost Valley, Shawnee Peak, Sunday River) all being within 1 -2 hours away.
Your hosts are more than happy to recommend great places to visit and eat. There is also a folder in the room with menus, maps and ideas of "things to do". A Maine Atlas is also available for loan to direct you to any location in ME.
Hollis Center also has a lovely local grocery/deli/pizza place (Your Country Store), fantastic home-made ice cream parlor (Big Daddy's North), Hannaford supermarket (10 mins.) plus a wonderful salon and spa is just around the corner (A New Leaf Salon) Let us know if you would like to book a day of pampering and we can arrange it for you.
High thread count sheets ( 500 count cotton in warmer months, warm flannel when it gets cooler)
100% cotton bathrobes in each room for guest use and comfort.
If the weather is unbearably hot, we do have AC unit that can be installed.
A self serve continental Breakfast is included daily.
Please note, check in is no later than 9 pm as we both have to work REALLY early in the am on most days. We appreciate you planning ahead so we can provide you with a great experience. :)
Allergy note: We do have 3 and 1 cat dogs so people with allergies please take note.

Coming to Maine for some rest and relaxation? We can arrange a private, 1 hour massage at the local spa with an excellent massage therapist. Please let us know in advance if you would like to book this option.
No smoking indoors and no pets allowed. We ask that you also remove your shoes upon entering the house (less vacuuming for me!) Children are welcome who are considerate of our beloved dogs. We have 3 in total and appreciate your parental supervision.

We live on a small farm in southern maine. 27 gorgeous acres to explore and all the fresh eggs and in seasonal veggies you can eat.
We have been very active in Couchsurfing International and have hosted people from all over the world and enjoy having others stay with us.
You can have as private a stay as you like or if you enjoy getting "in the thick of things", that is great as well.
2 people maximum and sorry, no pets.
We are in a rural location but close to Maine's largest city of Portland as well as Sebago Lake, Saco River and tons of walking/hiking trails.
