Our peaceful and relaxing Mountain Retreat is in Ute Pass off of U.S. Hwy 24 halfway between Colorado Springs and Woodland Park. Enjoy our 624 sq ft cabin above our double garage with its fully fenced and gated yard and nearby Fountain Creek. Love the mountain air at 7500 ft elevation. Enjoy Colorado at its best!
Our Mountain Retreat is close to the Pikes Peak Highway, half way up Ute Pass from Colorado Springs. Mountain Retreat sets apart from our main house. There is a living room, kitchen, bath and outside balcony with a gas grill. A single bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed. HD TV and cable, DVDs, internet WiFi. Fenced property has a security code gate, on park-like setting at 7500 feet elevation. And to relax, take a dip in our hot tub and emerge with hot towels fresh from the towel warmer!

There is much more with an easy drive. For those who want to go trout fishing, that can be arranged!
There is a good chance you will see wildlife from the balcony. We've seen deer, wild turkey, wildcat, bear, beaver, fox, coyote, birds galore, and one time we even saw a lynx right outside the fence!
We have a variety of snowshoes for your use and suggestions for trails. We can help you make arrangements for skiing or snowmobiling.

PETS: Pets are on a case by case basis and require pre-approval and a $50 additional pet fee payable on arrival or by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) invoice in advance. Inquire as to whether your pet is acceptable. Generally, we allow dogs if they are housebroken and don't scratch or chew furniture. No more than two dogs accepted. Do not leave dogs in house alone; if left unattended, then we ask you to crate your dog. Dogs can run free in the fully fenced in yard if you notify us when they go out (we have two very small dogs of our own). We insist that dogs not be on our couch or on the bedroom quilts to be considerate of other guests. Please pick up after your dog's business.
SMOKING: There is no smoking permitted in the house, but it is permitted on the balcony.
CHECK IN / OUT: Check in at or after 4:00 PM unless other arrangements are made. Call us from Colorado Springs so we will have a heads up on your arrival and let us know if you plan to arrive late. Check out 11:00 AM.

I have lived in the USA for 40 years, having been born and reared in Germany. My husband, Robert, is a retired lawyer. The two of us live in the main house on the premises. I have been a sports parachutist, airplane pilot, skier, skater and competitive ballroom dancer. We love to go to the opera & symphony. I tend my flower and vegetable gardens while Robert tends to the yard and serves as webmaster for a couple of organizations.
