À propos de ce logement

I love my lakeside townhouse and I hope that you can help me squeeze a little bit more joy out of it, since I work all the time. GREAT back porch and an even better location: 10 minutes from Folly and 5 minutes from Downtown. Come Stay!

It's likely the best and most central location. Tucked away and seems like it's out In the country but just a skip over the bridge and you are down town or a short ride to the beach. It's also around the corner from the Indy movie theater the Terrace and best music venue in town - the pour house, tex mex spot Zia Taqueria has the best margaritas ever!! Walk to drug store and grocery store , Muddy Waters coffee etc.

Amenities. Washer, dryer, wifi, cool cats, old guitar (If my friend Kenny gives it back to me), fridge use, kitchen, porch. I have an old school percolater coffee maker.

My interaction is As convenient for both of us. Some nights, I would love to hang out and make dinner or explore the city. Sometimes when you live in a place you never see the sights! Other nights I 'm in n out the door all day.

Neighborhood: best kept secret. 13 town houses on a dead end street. The lake in back makes it seems far out of the city. Lots of birds pelicans turtles lizards dragonflies and even hawks / herons occasionally.

Transportation. the bus CARTA is supposedly nearby but most people will need a car. Busses are not the most reliable. A cab is pricey but better. Uber is like the Air BNB of taxis and we have Uber here (for now). Ideally one should have a car in Charleston unless you plan to stay downtown and move about downtown. The busses dont even go to the Beach.

Parking downtown is easy to find. Metered and garages.

Parking on Folly beach - Make SURE that ALL 4 TIRES ARE OFF PAVEMENT and make sure you park in the direction of traffic.. cryptic rules that you will be ticketed over!!

I may need to arrange to leave a key for you if Im at work when you arrive. The bedroom is upstairs at the front of the house, and bathroom is right near the front door. Please park in a spot close to the road. My elderly neighbors have claimed the 4 spots close to the building. Thanks !

Just be sure to keep the cats inside. They won't bolt at the door, but might wander out if a door was left wide open. They're super friendly and will greet you/ rub on you. Bagheera the black one is more outgoing. Una the white one is more shy but warms up after a few days.

I have a great town house with a great view in a great location, and 1 extra room. I said that it accommodates 2 people, but 1-2 other people could also sleep on the futon couch if need be. Bagheera and Una are the 2 really friendly indoor only cats. They're the type of cats that turn dog people into cat lovers. But if you're allergic things may not workout because they will sleep in your luggage if you let them. I’m a laid back friendly geek, rock climber, burner, yogi, nature freak, music loving Star Wars Fan. I’ve lived in Charleston for 7 years and am a great source of info for any visitor. I’ve traveled to Thailand, Cuba, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and I’ve lived in San Diego/ Santa Cruz California, Delaware, Raleigh, and Long Island, NY (born and raised – but you’d never be able to tell). I’m gone 4 days a week from 8 am – 7 pm, and often times after work, I either pass out early or go out to see some music. Feel free to use the kitchen or back porch. There is a large camping Propane grill on the porch that is big enough to cook for 2 people. There is free Wifi, and limited cable TV. I do have a TV/DVD player that can stream from your computer / Netflix account in the living room. It’s more fun to feed leftovers to the turtles in the pond out back than watch TV anyway. Washer dryer available. The 1 downside I will mention is the bedroom is on the 2nd floor but the bathroom is on the ground floor. It is a private full bathroom however.
