My place is just meters from Borough Market with Shakespeare’s Globe, The Shard, Tate Modern, London Bridge, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London not much is located in a vibrant neighbourhood with London’s premier food market, restaurants, bars and cafes right on the doorstep. No need to worry about the noise as the apartment itself is tucked away in a quiet location with a private garden area. It is good for couples, business travellers, families and people with mobility difficulties.
This 74 sq meter 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor has been recently renovated and boasts a bright open plan living space, with a private garden area. Situated in the cultural heart of London with a river promenade at its doorstep, you can enjoy the numerous river front cafes and take advantage of million-dollar views.
The open plan lounge is a chic and comfortable space with a 32'' flat-screen TV, with freeview.
The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, gas hob and microwave. The bedroom is a large and airy double bedroom, with a door opening directly into the rear garden. The bathroom has a generous sized shower (800mm x 1400mm). There is a well maintained private garden at both the front and back, both of which have table and chairs.
Other things to note
The apartment extremely well connected. With London Bridge underground station (Jubilee and Northern line) just a 3 minute walk away and London Bridge railway station just a 5 minute walk. The main shopping areas of the West End, Bond street, Oxford street are only 9 minutes away by underground. On the south side of the river Thames, opposite the City of London and neighbouring South Bank and London Bridge; Bankside's central location makes Bankside extremely accessible, served by major rail and underground connections at London Bridge, Waterloo, Southwark and Blackfriars. The new Blackfriars' Station southern entrance provides direct access to Bankside. The Jubilee line and the river services provide a fast way of getting you to and from the West End, whilst you'll find buses offer a great alternative, with frequent services and lots of routes. But the best way to explore London is on foot!
London’s self-service hire bikes are available right outside, hire a bike (from £2) and cycle freely around London. If you want to stop off to view the sights leave that bike at another docking station and collect later to ride back home.
Restaurants, Cafes and Pubs
The area has restaurants to suit every taste. From British restaurants serving traditional British roasts to top end international restaurants like Hong Kong style HUTONG on the 33rd floor of the Shard, or the French brasserie at Oxo Tower. There are also a huge number of casual restaurants from tapas bars, Italian open kitchen, oyster bars, sushi and fish restaurants, contemporary Indian, French brasseries, Greek and many more. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays Borough Market is open and hundreds of food stands sell the best of British and international foods to eat there or take away, as well as many cafes and cake shops. It's definitely a foodie's paradise! And around the markets are some wonderful old pubs like The George which is London's only surviving galleried coaching inn.
