Located in St. Georg downtown on the 8th floor of a 1920s Hamburg Kontorhaus (old office building), our beautiful and cozy 860 square feet apartment is furnished with a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen-cum-living room, a bathroom and a big balcony for up to four-six persons.
The main train station and the subway station Berliner Tor are within five minutes’ reach. Diverse ethnic as well as traditional German restaurants, great opportunities for amusement and shopping present themselves in 15 minutes' walking distance. Numerous shops, malls, museums, galleries and the city hall are within easy reach downtown. A twenty-minute walk will lead straight to the lovely Lake Alster and to the busy harbor.
The living room is spacious and suffused with light, with a large sofa which can be converted into a double convertible sofa bed. Telephone, WiFi, flat-screen TV set, HiFi system, a desk and access to the balcony are available.
The bedroom is furnished with two twin beds which can be put together, and sofa beds. The bathroom persuades the viewer with a pink 70s charm. The kitchen-cum-living room is large and cozy, fully furnished with stove, refrigerator and dish¬washer and grants access to the balcony as well. A washing machine and dryer in an adjacent room are also ready for use.
On the lower levels, offices can be found. Neighboring apartments are located on the 8th floor and in the adjacent house.
The balcony faces east, is 45 ft long and about 6 ft wide. It is equipped with chairs, tables and deck chairs. A public parking lot is only 250 ft away, free parking spots can be found in front of the building (on evenings and weekends) and in the alleys.
The central, yet quiet location of the apartment is unique. It is ideal for Hamburg tourists as well as businesspeople due to the city’s reliable and easily accessible public transport system, the proximity of the highway, its peaceful parks and bustling harbor, its various cultural activities and diverse restaurants, its manifold opportunities for amusement and shopping.
