Jim was an amazing host! The home was beautiful, so much more than we could have imagined. Even when there was a medical emergency in the middle of the night, Jim came right over to make sure everything was okay. He was very understanding of the situation and offered a later checkout.

Everyone was pretty much accurate with their experience... Honored to stay in a house the owner put so much love and sweat into. Spacious, close to excellent walking trails, places to eat, centralized to hwy and major roads and just felt like country living in the city. Heard a train at night but nothing bad at all and neighbors were quiet. Make sure you read about stairs as some might find them a little tricky... but maybe only for those like me with big feet. :) Great guy, he made sure to check in on us, gave excellent recommendations and we felt like a guest rather than just just person. We enjoyed our stay and you will too.

Jim was a wonderful host and the house was a beautiful and very cozy place to stay in Puyallup. I would highly recommend his listing and I would gladly stay there again myself. Communicating was fast and easy, and the house was very clean and well-decorated.

This was an amazing find for us! The home is beautiful, with a really great yard! We stayed here while waiting on our rental to be ready. Moving across country, we were so tired of pet friendly motels! This was a lifesaver. Jim is a really wonderful host! Very accommodating! Terrific location! The river trail and access was a happy coincidence and we loved it! Highly recommend staying here!

Iris was a fantastic retreat for a couple of months while in the area for work. The house is spacious and has all of the amenities that i needed and the house is located steps from a river walk/bike trail! My dog really enjoyed playing in the back yard amd i enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable chairs on the porch or the lawn swing. Jim and his family were very accommodating and went out of their way to make me feel welcomed and taken care of. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a mice place to stay on a family oriented neighborhood.

Perfect place for our 10 days of homeless while we waited for our rental house to be ready. Perfect size with everything we needed to make it a home.

We were delighted by a bottle of wine and a few snacks awaiting our arrival. This place is nicer than the pictures let on. This an old house, with old house charm and quirks. However, it is obvious the owner put a lot of work into fixing it up. Fresh paint (and replaster walls) throughout, no creaky floors (tile, new wood floors, no plumbing issues, and new carpet throughout). The back porch was nice after a long day with a glass of wine in the cool evening after a long hot day. There is a large fenced back yard where we kept our mostly well-behaved pups. We walked to a pretty decent Mexican restaurant (have their margarita!) There is also an Italian restaurant, but we didn't eat there. It's 1/2 mile from Starbucks (which would be an easy walk, as well). Across the street is a trail head for a river trail (the Puyallup River is very close). The neighborhood feels safe and is pretty quiet with the exception of the occasional Harley or noisy diesel pickup, or booming teenager car driving by. We felt comfortable and safe walking around in the evening. We slept with the windows open every night. If you don't mind the sound of trains in the distance (I personally love that sound), you can sleep with fans on. There is parking that extends to the backyard - which was helpful since we brought a trailer, we could keep it locked up within the fence when we were out. (The dogs helped guard it, too). Jim, the host, lives nearby and is super communicative without being too nosey (we like our privacy). He went out of his way to make this a good experience, including taking in some packages we shipped ahead of us and being flexible with the checkout time to accommodate our schedule (no new renters coming in that day). I would definetly stay here again.
