We are a hostel rebuilt with an Andean touch, with an ecological bar serving traditional drinks as well as beers, good music and a warm fireplace. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring the Ecuadorian countryside and the famous Imbabura volcano. We have a well equipped kitchen, wifi throughout and plenty of communal areas for you to enjoy.
La Esperanza de Ibarra '' THE STREET OF JOY ''
We are at the gateway to the Ibarra countryside. It is situated in a relaxing, quiet area just outside of the main city of Ibarra. It is the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside and we are a wealth of local knowledge. You can meet fellow travellers and enjoy your time here as you wish whether it is joining in with the daily activities or relaxing near the open fire. There is a bar onsite serving traditional Andean drinks as well as the more known ones and there are daily activities if you prefer to relax away from the hiking.

The hostel is situated in a quiet village 3km outside of Ibarra. It is easy to find by bus from Parque German Grijalva and even easier in a taxi that costs no more than $5.
If you use the kitchen, please keep it clean.
Only use electricity and water that is necessary.
