À propos de ce logement
Stay in my bright guest bedroom, with use of your own private bathroom, in a beautiful, shared, 1750 square foot (163 square meters), sun drenched, loft-like apartment on the 4th floor (walk-up) of a Brooklyn Brownstone overlooking Fort Greene Park.
This is a private bedroom with exclusive use of a hallway bathroom in a shared apartment.
The apartment is on the 4th floor (walk-up) of a historic Brooklyn Brownstone fronting Fort Greene Park. It has an open kitchen with a large butcher block island ideal for cooking with friends, and a private planted roof deck to enjoy early morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, all located in historic Fort Greene, one of Brooklyn's best neighborhoods!
The bedroom is cozy, with plenty of room for singles or couples, with both short-term and medium-term availability, and is only a short train ride to Manhattan - 1 stop on the Q/B, 2 stops on the F, or 4 stops on the C - and walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge. I've lived in the neighborhood for over 13 years, and can provide you with any and all advice, maps, or guides that you should need during your stay.
About the guest bedroom:
The bedroom available for rent has morning sun, and its own bathroom for your use (while the bathroom is located in the hallway, it is for your exclusive use during your stay - you will NOT have to share with residents or other guests), and is located in a shared, 2 Bedroom, 2 1/2 Bathroom, 1750 square foot (163 square meters) apartment on the 4th floor (walk-up) of a Brownstone overlooking Fort Greene Park. The bedroom has a full-size bed (can sleep 2), bookcase, nightstand, full-length mirror, and its own closet with shelving as well as a rod for hanging clothes.
About the apartment:
Our apartment has fast and reliable WiFi, central air conditioning, radiator heat, a wood burning fire place (for our winter visitors), 50" flat screen television, DVD, surround sound speaker system, and a lush planted rooftop deck (in spring, summer, and part of the fall) with gas grill. The washer/dryer and chef's kitchen with dish washer are available for your use. Nespresso coffee maker (as well as stove top espresso maker or American coffee grinder/drip coffee) with fresh coffee and coffee beans provided for your convenience.
Fresh towels and linens are provided, and a hair dryer is available for use.

Guests can have access to the entire house (except for the master bedroom and master bath). Along with their own private bedroom and hallway bathroom, guests have full use of kitchen, living room, washer/dryer, roof deck, and all shared areas.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
Guests will have their own set of keys and can come and go on their own at any time they like. We have pretty busy schedules and are coming and going a lot, but one of us will always be there to greet guests and check them in, and can offer any advice on the neighborhood or the city as requested. We are also always available via text during guests' stay, and if we are not around, we will quickly respond via text for any questions guest have.
We have listed a check-in time of 6pm due to our work schedules. We can sometimes do earlier for weekend check-ins. We will always do our best to accommodate modified check-in times, but cannot guarantee it. Please ask us prior to booking if you will need an early check-in, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Thanks for booking at Fort Greene Retreat on the Park. No smoking is allowed in the apartment, though you may smoke on the roof deck. If you are going to smoke on the roof deck, please bring up a small plate or ashtray with you. Please, no ashing or discarding cigarette butts in the pots or planters or on the furniture, brick or bluestone. Thank you.
Ben and I split our time between Fort Greene, Brooklyn and Hudson, NY. I've lived in Fort Greene for over 13 years, and am an urban planner who does economic development and neighborhood revitalization work. Ben is an attorney in the public sector.
We spend many of our weekends at our 2nd home in the historic, small town of Hudson, New York, 2 hours north of NYC by train in the Hudson Valley. We fixed up a 3-family house built in 1834, and love to host friends and guests up there to experience the town and everything the Hudson Valley has to offer.
We enjoy running, hiking, and travel, and recently spent two weeks in Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and go on safari.
