I now have a washer/dryer!

This is a small guesthouse that was recently built in my backyard. It has a bunk bed, a candle, a mirror, and a "desk" with a chair for a computer station. The desk is basically a fold out tv dinner thingy. I'm still currently working on the art side of things.

As simple as it gets and completely private. There is an air conditioner and a space heater. You will be given keys for the guesthouse as well as for the backdoor which leads directly into the kitchen and bathroom, which you may use at your discretion. This is a shared kitchen/bathroom.

The property is on the border of the Bywater and Marigny neighborhoods. Walk to anywhere within these neighborhoods safely and comfortably. The French Quarter is also a short walk (15 blocks). The Bywater/Marigny are the oldest neighborhoods in New Orleans next to the French Quarter and boast some of New Orleans trendiest bars/restaurants/night life. Originally it was an African American and German blue collar neighborhood. These folks are still around as well as all of the new transplants. If you're racist towards black people please do not book, especially if nothing bad happens to you, and then you write me a review stating that the neighborhood is unsafe. Fuck off. Folks are nice around here. It'll greatly improve your vacation if you say hi to people.

I no longer have bikes for guests seeing as how 5 of them have been stolen now. There is a bike shop 1 block away though that rents them for $15 a day.

If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. There is no schedule for train work in the nearby yard. They work at random. Chances are you'll be disturbed at some point. I'm just used to it.

Parking is available in front of the house.

Note that the price you see may not be the price per night for the days you're wanting to book. Holidays and special events cost more per night for example. The price shown is what the listing starts at per night for one person.

LGBT friendly.

I am a very busy person, but I will take some time out of my day to guide you towards restaurants, bars, and events that may be of interest to you.

There is a bus stop a half block away.

I am originally from a small town in Indiana but now love and am proud to call New Orleans home. My life at this point is basically distilling, brewing, billiards, botany, and travel. I have a 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse where I am currently building and raising money for a distillery/brewery/perfumery/farm.
