A quiet typical Cornish cottage not to far from Perranporth but a great place to base yourself from if you want to explore the local area. The house has everything you could possibly need for your stay and the local beaches are fantastic.

The cottage was lovely and so peaceful that we would return again. The communication with John was excellent and he recommended lots of different walks. The location was great too, secluded but within easy access to amazing beaches within a 5min drive. We will return again! Thank…

We had such a lovely stay at John’s cottage. Secluded and just what we needed for a relaxing stay; not too far from nearby services and right by the beaches. We had helpful extra advice from John even though we had all the information neatly and concisely in a folder. Immaculatel…

Wayside Cottage is lovely, very charming with character and also spotlessly clean. The garden is also great to sit out in. John is a great host and was really helpful with our queries, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage as long as people are prepared for the nearest a…

Thanks Gemma. Good thought to pre-warn guests on the sizes and logistics of the 2 parking spaces. A bit more info for anyone who is concerned about this: The parking space directly outside the window is quite long but not hugely wide. My Peugeot 207 fits fairly easily with a little bit of room to spare each side but a much wider car such as a 4x4 would stick out. Parallel parking tip: reverse in and aim for the back corner of the windowsill then straighten up roughly when the front wheels touch the edge of the parking space. The other parking option up by the hydrant sign is a bit wider (my parents have a wider car and usually park here when they are visiting) and most normal cars should fit but anything super-long would stick out a bit so not really ideal for a jag and definitely not a camper van. Parking tip for that one is to reverse into the hole (again from uphill) keeping fairly tight on the passenger side so there is room to get out on the driver side. Turning around tips: - If you're coming down the hill, there's a place to turn around in the farm entrance opposite for reversing in to park. - There's also a turning around spot just up the hill (farm entrance on the right) if you want to head off downhill.
